Talk about Streisand effect, shame on MLG for not being able to take a damn joke. <_>

There is so much wrong with your post; noone is saying he doesn't have rights, or that the big evil corporations are threatening to take over the world; or that 2GD being ousted represents the beginning of our end, lead by the corporations. He messed up; stop trying to defend him. MLG took a stand and made a point - it's completely ridiculous to think that you can represent a company and bad mouth them live on stream.

2GD is not working for a company. He is doing charity work commenting an amateur sports event. He's the star, more so than the players.

Sorry, but whether you are getting paid or not, he is a representative for MLG, he has responsibilities. Him being on MLG helps him more than it helps MLG that is for sure. MLG has access to the greatest;

Your political opinions have absolutely nothing to do with the topic, but thanks for sharing your views.

I'm sorry, but that's what happens when you try to bring 'the real world' in to support a false argument.

Your logic is terrible. People in the US have rights to, how ground breaking. What you're saying though, is that because the rest of the world outside the US have "rights", it's ok to bad mouth your employer in front of 1000s. That's what you're saying right?

You should read the post I was replying to instead of just blindly replying. It's pretty pointless otherwise. I was making the point that his idea of what 'the real world' is like was nothing more than an untrue excuse.

Didn't Sundance make a joke about the eagle stream?

Agreed.

Quick tip: Don't talk trash publicly about any company you're representing, even if what you say is true.

Except he always jokes about failures, even Dreamhack.

Quick tip: Don't joke about American companies you are representing.

I wonder what is going to happen with SotG. Since that had tons of trashing publicly. Now they can't talk at all about MLG?

In other words, feel free to talk trash publicly about any non-American company you happen to represent.
Gotcha.

Ok America trash was out of line there sorry. However many countries in Europe it's much harder to just remove an employee than just saying "he trashed us publicly". I think that's why people are less serious about it outside of America

Where do you get this information from? Almost every company has strict policies, atleast in the beginning of a trial employment in europe

JP represents MLG after Dallas he badmouthed MLG in a similar way on SOTG. Why hasn't JP been kicked from MLG? You can't be inconsistent in choices like these.

Him being on MLG helps MLG's QL audience more than it helps him btw.

Haha. 2GD didn't "badmouth" anyone, he made a quick joke about MLG's technical issues in the past all in good fun.

It was an extreme overreaction, most people didn't even get the joke. NOTHING would've come off it, nobody would've mentioned it 10mins later if they hadn't gone completely fascist over it. If it was about professionalism, kicking THEIR OWN caster live on the stream is hardly the right thing to do.

That's not the point at all.

I'll put the quote back up and bold a specific thing for you:
"it's completely ridiculous to THINK that you can represent a company and bad mouth them live on stream."

It's not like if that ever happens, a company has to react. But to think that some people think that's ok is just ridiculous, and plus, people who justify it by saying, "what about the time this other guy bad mouthed this company and nothing happened hmmm?".

I really don't get it.

They are reliant on customers though, and there are plenty of Quake fans who will be pissed off at this. If anything you can't argue it's a shitty PR move.

It certainly is unprofessional by whoever is in charge, he hurt MLG more than a bad joke ever could.
