GSL July: Puzzle 2-0s MMA Random must be the new consistency. :D MMA's TvZ may be the best in the world, but sadly there are three races in Starcraft. Plus there's also the fatigue factor - MMA might be on a slight burnout after all those deep runs. He lost to DRG in his last GSTL match as well.

Yea if u actually look at it logically OSL qualifiers are like 10x tougher than code A but no one notices because there's MSL and Proleague on like every day. SC2 is just frustrating because with GSL being the only thing once a guy's out of code A you might not see him again for a month =\. At least making GSTL weekly is a step in the right direction.

He really needs to work on a lot of things if he wants to win the Code A tournament and start competing with the best at Code S. I don't ever want to see him slide down so quickly in the rankings as he did just recently. Anyway, I think SlayerS took a huge hit when MMA got 0-4'd in the super tournament finals. Aside from Alicia, Ryung (and BoxeR, I hope), everyone's done worse than usual in the individual and team leagues.

Yeah, now it's not that a big deal (for fans) when our player is out of GSL. And it's not like broodwar is not "random" (I use the word random but I don't agree with the word, it's just harder and harder), I mean, Bisu lost to an amateur and is out of the OSL in preliminaries, it's like ten times less probable than MMA losing a bo3 to Puzzle.

If he didn't have to play a top notch P like Puzzle, he would be back in Code S. He was never in Code-S in the first place

The game isn't random, MMA has always had a lesser good TvP compared to his other MUs.

His rhythm got totally blown off when he discovered that he destroyed his own orbital command during the first match against idrA, and he was totally outgunned by DRG's interesting and aggressive play in their ace rematch (the baneling mines on the mineral line for a new enemy expansion is a great idea, as you get to kill a lot of harvesters, and only lose several banelings if they get detected, I wonder why people haven't tried this tactic more often?). Other than that, MMA did very well against his zerg opponents (defeating Code S players like LosirA and July). I'd say he's proven his prowess for it. With his TvT on the other hand, when he gets too excited, he messes up real bad (like against Bomber), and when his build gets taken advantage of, he automatically loses the match (like against both Polt and MarineKing). He's got good TvT (though not elite level, as his builds get repetitive), bad TvP and great TvZ.

Back in January he was the darling of the Zotac Cup, going 13-6 while beating players like MC, MMA, MVP, and Losira

Columbus was sort of meant for foreigners to step into GSL Code A (similar to 'The Road to Korea'), which is why we're having Naniwa and Thorzain in August (they're the highest ranked non-Koreans in Columbus). @Nevuk: I just lol'd imagining that awkward MMA trying to do the badass FBH bms.
