You would make an awful bookie.
So what odds would you have given MMA vs Puzzle then?
Please, enlighten me how MMA was not the favourite?

Lol... 0/4 for my liquibet today and 2/12 if combined with yesterday. Code A is so hard to predict nowadays

Are Terran that greedy? Unfortunately, yes they are. When I play TvP with a lot of my friends they randomly have turrets in front of their entrance and main. Pro players don't want to spend that money if they don't have to. It's kind of like newbies building lots of cannons at their entrance cause they are scared. Pros would laugh at that, as they see no reason to do so (make turrets). i'm not talking about making a billions turrets everywhere in your basis, but just 1 turret at your entrance that's it. If it was a dt drop like white ra do often, i can understand but it's just some fucking dts who sneak from your main entrance.i love MMA, but i'm so pissed right now because he lost in a pretty bad fashion way, Puzzle control were not that good, he could have won those games.
Its so irritating. If Protoss never made Dt's, and them making DT's was a big surprise, OK, I could understand that. But its like 50% of games are DT rushes, and these guys are Professionals. Their builds are refined down to the last mineral with weeks put into them, and they don't build a freeking turret. Inexplicable

The format of GSL allows plenty of time for others to study your style and game, and all they have to do is prepare 2-3 games to counter you, while you have no idea how they play. We saw it happen to Fruitdealer, Kyrix, MKP, etc etc. Unless MMA starts mixing up his style like MKP has, he's not gonna get far like this. Puzzle knows MMA's weak early games, so he took the risk, because he knew MMA would most likely not attack him. And it paid off big time. You also see puzzle getting multiple cannons at all his bases. No one really does that unless you know your opponent likes dropping a lot, and he does. Imo, the format of GSL needs to change, as the current format isn't really dividing players into 3 different skill categories. We saw how easily it is for a lower code player beating a higher one, it is almost pointless to say "I'm a Code S" player nowadays.
unless you are POLT prime

But that doesn't make Puzzle some godlike player either, as Agent V suggests.
No, but he does make him superior to MMA in this games. Superior to the runner up of the last gsl tournament....

MMA out, San out, Min out and thewind out, 4 of my favourite players

MMA you need to go to BoxeR and talk to him about how to get out of a slump.
And you need to learn to defend against DTs.
agreed
boxer and cella arent doing very well in helping players like MMA and Min improve. YuGioh will probably lose, and not suprised if Boxer falls too. Alicia won't make it out of his group either.
fml... MMA i cant fucking believe it.

On the same note, he hasn't played enough games for us to say he is good either, if we're talking statistically speaking. People saw him play some gosu TvT and TvZ, but nobody has ever seen him play a gosu TvP. He lost to Sangho in Code A, he lost to HuK in up and down, he lost to NSH.Sage in LG Cinema- The only Bo3 TvP he has ever won was vs "TopClassFou"- he is bad at TvP. Sorry.

Much like TSL's Puma actually, the latter is playing amazingly lately in online events but still isn't in the GSL
holy shit, that's a great resume by puzzle.

That type of play will win you a series but not a tourney where your luck will run out. He bunker Rushed Yellow 3 games in a Row for an OSL Title Wasn't that the semi final of the EVER OSL 2004 though? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Puzzle's macro was quite good in both games. he was almost always ahead in supply, which is pretty bad position for terran.

MMA's TvP is like 46% and has only ever won 1 Bo3 TvP on SC2 Korean TLPD (against TopClassFou). People are overrating him because he has gosu TvT and TvZ, when he has never ever shown good TvP (he one base allined MC, that was it).

I was just wondering why the games have so many yes votes. DT's killing scv's and securing a huge lead isn't very exciting. All of the hair raising stuff in game 1 was done by MMA. I voted no simply to offset all the MMA haters. What has the guy ever done to deserve hate? Get fans? Beat MKP? That's MKP's problem, just as not having turrets was MMA's problem. Because fanboys hype MMA as a master of the universe after winning MLG and beating 5 terrans in ST. Yes I got a problem with that. TvT godlike not, 0-4 Polt, plz beat mvp and Bomber . TvZ awesome not, have fun beating LosirA. TvP bad, sure, but I'd say disastrous. What else does he got ? Sure I love his multitasking, multiprongs drop, clutch plays but that do not save the day. Some may say even DRG or StC arent in Code A, but once they are in code A, I can only see them go straight for the championship (see Bomber), not dropping out like this
