Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of: Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it.

He is a WC3 guy and is working his ass off playing another game now and performing very well. On a side note, why do people like him? His interviews have very boring responses, and he seems to show little interest in the foreign scene other than to get money from it (compare him with MC). Is it just because he has results in another game? Is that it? People just follow wins like robots, or is some personality actually a factor?

Poor MC, running into the greatest XvP players at both recent international tournaments (Losira's ZvP, and now Bomber's TvP). ![]()

Sen's ZvZ is very strong while July's isn't, and the two favorites to win (MC, Bomber) eliminate each other in the Ro8, while Naniwa has shown he can beat Moon in the past. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see only 1 Korean in ro4, but that one winning (winner of MC/Bomber).

And please, stop with the ZvP whine. As numerous people have already pointed out, stalkers are stronger than roaches (and should be due to their respective costs) and have the same supply. Blink stalkers pretty much hard counter roaches with good micro. Massing 1 unit is a good strategy if that unit is the counter to your opponent's 1 unit mass. Simple. Well he's not a top Korean, but he has gotten a whole lot better I have to admit. I think competing in these foreign tournaments where Zergs in general are given much more breathing space than in Korea has helped boost his confidence and with it his overall game. I'm not sure if he would qualify for Code S, but he's certainly growing to become a great zerg.

They like him because he's the greatest wc3 player of all time and he always shows up to play and does his best to show some good games. he geniunely seems like a nice guy, he doesn't have to be super charismatic to be likeable.

"EG Master's Cup" with their average of 4k viewers a night, maybe 5k on a good night if Idra is playing. Yea that 5k viewer count will really WOW the sponsors and generate tons of ad revenue and make esports grow, great logic there

The difference is that it was evident MC was jetlagged. Yes he lost to Idra 2-0 in the first series, but in the following day after resting and taking a Nos MC said he felt better and felt good. Then on championship sunday he went about his business rolling Idra in the game that mattered 4-0..... Idra fanboyism is quite amusing. In this case most if not all the players coming outside of Europe were most likely jetlagged...

World football, we're horrible we have holden and howard who are EPL players but the rest are meh. American football, in international tournaments i think spain and japan beat us. Basketball we are still fairly competitive but that is one of the least skill based sports out there, just be really tall. Baseball we are bad now and korea and japan are both solid. Hockey canada won. So yea americans better learn to lose gracefully quick because it likely won't get any better since the reason we were so far ahead in the first place was almost purely due to an economical advantage where other countries were busy trying to feed themselves and live decently rather than chasing sporting opportunities. Tables have turned there as well. You're fucking joking, right? If the top flight NBA players played in every international competition we'd be unstoppable.
