Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of:
Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining
Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it. |

Losira absolutely raped MC. Zergs like Nestea, July would be better and the new generation of zergs like DRG and Line would probably give him headaches as well. Then I'm very worried because Idra has dominated the foreign scene pretty much. Destroyed IPL, destroyed all of his competition in MLG (barring Thorzain). The foreign scene doesn't have much hope to beat Korea if Idra isn't on MC's level. Thorzain beat him, Sase beat him and I'm pretty sure players like Naniwa, Nerchio, White Ra, Dimaga etc would be able to beat Idra. Naniwa and Thorzain are also going to Korea to improve and play in code A. Give them the time and the opportunity and they will be able to compete with anyone. Idra was jetlagged day 1. Said so in interviews, on twitter etc. so when idra jetlagged that is legit excuse, but when MC was jetlagged at MLG that wasn't, i see idra fanboy logic now thx for clarifying So when MC jetlagged it was legit excuse? But when Idra jetlagged it wasn't? I see MC fanboy logic there. MC also traveled to sweden, so i assume he has jetlag as well.

It doesn't really work that way cause MC fanboys didn't call bullshit on IdrA being jetlagged, they called bullshit on IdrA fanboys, whereas IdrA fanboys called bullshit on MC being jetlagged, then supported the IdrA being jetlagged thing.
IMO the jetlag excuse is perfectly valid. If people can't see how lack of sleep affect play it's quite stupid. I can't even WATCH matches properly when I'm tired, let alone play the game.

Not too surprising though. Perhaps the only surprise for me was moon 2-0'ing White-Ra. I mean, White-Ra is an amazing player, I thought he would be capable of beating moon, who's not that impressive.
That said, I think that while moon isn't that good at SC2, he's got sort of a "champion's heart", he always seems to pull off some ridiculous unheard of skill when playing in LANs, that's why I never count him out. His WC3 stage experience has made him a tremendous competitor. Lol you call White ra amazing and call Moon not that impressive when he just 2-0d white ra? I mean that's pretty biased. ... You have to be good at sc2 to perform in a stage like this... I mean his gotten so far in most of the foreign tournaments his been in. I call him not too impressive based on seeing his games and watching him not being able to even enter code A anymore. He's not a top korean. He performs well in LANs, I'm pretty sure that's because of his extensive tournament experience and success, but his SC2 skill isn't too high, that's been shown multiple times on GSL. Of course his not a top Korean but your talking about sc2 skill here. Not talking about race and just talking about pure sc2 skill moon is still pretty damn good. If he performs well that should translate to having good skill... I mean what else is there to gauge one's skill? I would think WHite ra and moon is pretty even in skill level, if not moon being a tad bit higher. Just by recent performances in tournaments.

Had nothing to do with nationality, just that if one group of people work together and devote their life into improving their game, they will exceed others. If all the support from team houses combined with the many hours of targetted training doesn't give them an edge, this game would be somewhat unfair.
stop this koreans or foreigener plz then jinro might be korean too = we have korean who didn't get to playoff are u happy now?

Dude Moon is sick, fuck the haters. He is eSports icon #2 after BoxeR imo and i would never bet against him.
|
IdrA has been sick the whole event, which is a pretty good reason as to why he couldn't perform as expected. Still think MC would've won though, such a great player.

If I want to watch EU only players battle it out I'll watch some of the bigger cups since they are usually so well attended =) For big events though the level of play is just substantially raised by having a decent Korean presence.
Ya I agree. EU and NA both have tournaments that Koreans don't bother with to watch them play it out, but for huge events like MLG or Dreamhack, it is nice to have Koreans.
On a side note, I do have to admit that I like the amount of Koreans at both though. Few enough that it isn't overwhelming, but they are good enough to get far.

Why bother watching sc2? A person who appreciates sc2 would watch regardless of the race/nationality.
You're obviously a racist. Don't bother watching then.
And catz's argument is retarded. Translation for his argument is this: " I can't dream of competing against Koreans so please ban them so I might win one lan".
so sad because he'll never win vs other NA players anyways.

It's the same for all countries.
And what sport is that ? Golf ?
USA sucks on most sports lol.

you guys think the streams would have almost 100k viewers combined if it weren't for the koreans?
Get over yourself and realize it is good for the global scene.

Yea Moon is a legend in esports people have to remember this is not his game. He is a WC3 guy and is working his ass off playing another game now and performing very well.

Shaping up to be another Korean 1,2,3 honestly. Hope not but it seems very likely.

How did Jinro do in the tourney? I didnt watch any of his matches

And please, stop with the ZvP whine. As numerous people have already pointed out, stalkers are stronger than roaches (and should be due to their respective costs) and have the same supply. Blink stalkers pretty much hard counter roaches with good micro. Massing 1 unit is a good strategy if that unit is the counter to your opponent's 1 unit mass. Simple.
Moon IS an average Korean pro.

Thank you Dreamhack for letting me see MC crush Idra once again. It was something new and refreshing to see as Korean Zergs have been crushing Korean Protosses for a while now, but the boy wonder Idra & his fans deliver entertainment as always.
