Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of:
Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining
Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it. |

One important point is that Huk, a foreigner, when placed in the korean training environment in the oGs house, is able to display similar results as the other "koreans".
Had nothing to do with nationality, just that if one group of people work together and devote their life into improving their game, they will exceed others. If all the support from team houses combined with the many hours of targetted training doesn't give them an edge, this game would be somewhat unfair.

Losira absolutely raped MC. Zergs like Nestea, July would be better and the new generation of zergs like DRG and Line would probably give him headaches as well. Then I'm very worried because Idra has dominated the foreign scene pretty much. Destroyed IPL, destroyed all of his competition in MLG (barring Thorzain). The foreign scene doesn't have much hope to beat Korea if Idra isn't on MC's level. Thorzain beat him, Sase beat him and I'm pretty sure players like Naniwa, Nerchio, White Ra, Dimaga etc would be able to beat Idra. Naniwa and Thorzain are also going to Korea to improve and play in code A. Give them the time and the opportunity and they will be able to compete with anyone. Idra was jetlagged day 1. Said so in interviews, on twitter etc. so when idra jetlagged that is legit excuse, but when MC was jetlagged at MLG that wasn't, i see idra fanboy logic now thx for clarifying

Sen was the only Asian, other than Koreans, invited, and Koreans are Asian, so I'm not seeing it.
Plus, I'm not sure Sen represents the Taiwanese scene, though he represents Taiwan as a player, as Taiwan really hasn't produced another player like him. Sen is in a class of his own.

Sorry misunderstanding. I was just pointing out how korea and sen are not under 1 category. Sen is in his own category (or mixed into the foreigner tab). Korea is a category by itself, not asia.

Sorry if this has been asked, but are there any vods and/or reccomended games for day1 or 2?

Not too surprising though. Perhaps the only surprise for me was moon 2-0'ing White-Ra. I mean, White-Ra is an amazing player, I thought he would be capable of beating moon, who's not that impressive.
That said, I think that while moon isn't that good at SC2, he's got sort of a "champion's heart", he always seems to pull off some ridiculous unheard of skill when playing in LANs, that's why I never count him out. His WC3 stage experience has made him a tremendous competitor. Lol you call White ra amazing and call Moon not that impressive when he just 2-0d white ra? I mean that's pretty biased. ... You have to be good at sc2 to perform in a stage like this... I mean his gotten so far in most of the foreign tournaments his been in. I call him not too impressive based on seeing his games and watching him not being able to even enter code A anymore. He's not a top korean. He performs well in LANs, I'm pretty sure that's because of his extensive tournament experience and success, but his SC2 skill isn't too high, that's been shown multiple times on GSL. I think Moon just seems weak because code A / code A qualifiers are probably harder than most (if not all foreigner events). ~16 spots for qualifiers, and people like ganzi, drg, all of fxo couldn't even make it.

IdrA was in Sweden for a day ro two and knew he was going, MC had a couple hours notice, boarded a plane at 7AM, and played that day. IdrA says he was sick, not sure if that means jetlag or not though.

That's not what he said at all... he was simply pointing out what other people said, not what he personally said.
Either way, he is an IdrA hater, not necessarily an MC fan.

I cant wait for some korean on korean action tomorrow.

USA doesn't even dominate at sports other nations actually play.
Even with their own sports, they've been falling behind as well. World football, we're horrible we have holden and howard who are EPL players but the rest are meh. American football, in international tournaments i think spain and japan beat us.
Basketball we are still fairly competitive but that is one of the least skill based sports out there, just be really tall.
Baseball we are bad now and korea and japan are both solid. Hockey canada won.
So yea americans better learn to lose gracefully quick because it likely won't get any better since the reason we were so far ahead in the first place was almost purely due to an economical advantage where other countries were busy trying to feed themselves and live decently rather than chasing sporting opportunities. Tables have turned there as well.

MC looking really strong. Only mistakes I have seen were the 2 Colossi being sniped in game 1 vs Idra. Huge mistakes, but the only ones. He is looking more convincing than Bomber thus far. We'll see. Can't wait.

No thanks, I'd rather see the best players playing when possible.
If I want to watch EU only players battle it out I'll watch some of the bigger online cups/smaller lans since they are usually so well attended =)
For big events though the level of play is just substantially raised by having a decent Korean presence.

I think the point is that when MC was no longer jetlagged, he 4-0 Idra. And today Idra shouldn't have the jetlag excuse, and he still lost.
I heard he was sick, which may be a factor. Either way, it wouldn't be fanboy logic to point out that MC has a better record against Idra.

Europe is way better than NA, Europe even dominates MLG and NASL for the most part and they are NA tournaments.

We should also get the USA out of basketball at the Olympics (and the Olympics in general). + Show Spoiler +It's still racism even if you say it isn't
