so strange lol, every wc3 player is doing amazing EXCEPT grubby lol

well grubby switched around feb giving him 4 months to get to a status that everyone else had almost a year to get to.

and honestly grubby is not doing bad at all.

I dont expect him to be a super hero like he was in wc3, a game he played since like he was 15 years old... but he is gonna be like a strong player.

come on do you even read anything lol, demuslim said already X times, grubby played alot back in BETA, and who cares 4 months or not, he looks bad, no potential tbh

Someone's quick to judge.
Why no potential?

Lmao Naugrim played horribly.

awwww, your hero got dismantled?

He snuck a base to get an advantage and then threw tons of infestors, broodlords, and ultras away for literally nothing, but couldn't be punished because you can't do anything against infestors. Not dismantling, Naugrim played badly.

Don't let Zerg get to that point. Horrible whine.

The thing is, with infestor based play, there is almost no way to kill zerg and avoid the lategame untill its too late

I don't ever comment on balance, because I've noticed that every time someone says something like "there's (almost) no way" or "it's impossible" someone finds a way to do it.

Protoss deathball? Mass fungal, ling + bling drops, neural.

Stuff like that. People will work this shit out.

I am pretty sure it's more like his opponents are just better than him.. nothing to do with him not giving a shit.

I think partially

1) Doesn't seem to practice as much.
2) Jetlag
3) He's become a lot more mannered recently.

Lulz. Like not gging Boxer and Zenio in back-to-back NASL matches? Don't get me wrong, I love IdrA...but mannered he ain't.

He tends to gg in LANs though... I'm not a fan of Idra but

1) Boxer did start calling him Grack... lol maybe he took that as an insult?
2) Zenio and Idra have BM history, I doubt Zenio would've gg'ed if he lost, it's pretty bad between the two of them.

He was never upset about Boxer calling him Grack. He never took it as an insult. He just corrected him and moved on. It was clearly a mistake on Boxer's part and IdrA isn't stupid enough to take it seriously.

But yea him and Zenio have a huge BM history.

If Merz wins against Naama (almost certain) and Sase (not likely) then it doesn't matter.

If Merz wins one more game, he has 3 wins, one vs. Idra.
Idra can't get more than 3 wins, so he will be out then.

But what happens if Grubby goes 3-2? Then you'd go by points because Idra > Grubby > Merz > Idra, right?

Anyone know the tie-break rules?

Hopefully not coinflip this year

Have to agree, its almost impossible to attack the zerg once they have infestors out

I think partially

1) Doesn't seem to practice as much.
2) Jetlag
3) He's become a lot more mannered recently.

1) Even Jaedong and Flash would be amateurs if they didn't practice as much... that's the most important part of being a pro, i.e., shouldn't be count as an excuse.
2) Yeah, he's never done well in EU LANs, perhaps it's jetlag. That's why I didn't pick him to advance.
3) I keep hearing that all the time and then a few days back he didn't gg boxer... nah he'd lose half of his pubert fan base -- and half his income -- if he stop the BM. He won't.

I'm not making excuses, those are the reasons I think Idra's not playing well. If he's not practicing then it is his fault.

idra is the only reason EG has sponsors..

Yeah, Justin Wong and the other Teams they have for CS 1.6 or HoN are just jokes. No one cares about them, especially Justin Wong.

He probably ment the SC2 division because everyone else in EG's SC2 team isnt even Grandmaster league worthy.
EG as a esport team is pretty huge though, as far as i know their HoN team is the best in the world and Justin Wong is a god.

their HoN team was the best until their star player quit the game and they have had to replace 2-3 people so theyre playing quite bad atm

He showed some really nice play at the Swedish WCG qualifiers. He has cool dreads as well, if he had an axe and a helmet he would look like a viking.

edit:He showed* I didn't actually play in the Swedish WCG qualifiers

Is there even a live tournament going on? I mean obviously there is, and there are tons of games to watch, but I don't "feel" the atmosphere...

IMO player cams, audience shots, player interviews, are all critical to the spectator experience.

Just a minor complaint that would make a good tournament great. I would like to praise the casting schedule and multi-stream. It's excellent
