Polt just graduated from one of the top 50 colleges in the world. B.) Blame MMA for doing repetitive builds and not putting up a good fight against Polt. Indeed, how can you say MMA has charisma while Polt does not, when we clearly see that Polt was smiling more and more talkative in the interviews right before the match? I want to give credit where credit is due. Polt is amazing. If anything, I think the reverse. MMA is more stoic and I don't see much charisma in him. Still, he got second place, so he is definitely a good player as well.

So what happend? MMA chokes, Polt playes rush/offensive terran and MMA loses all 4 games rather than Polt winning them.
We get a boring finals, people polarize and care either way but truth be told a 4-0 finals is never a good or a fun thing, I don't care if Polt outplayed MMA... MMA played like shit and there was no contest, thus it was boring to see.
meh... What? MMA was the one who rushed Polt in Game 4 and got completely smacked down. You didn't watch the game.. His attack was successful. He got owned by the counter banshee, just like in the MKP game. Yes. He got outplayed. Polt is a better player than MMA. There is a reason why Polt is 2nd in Korea in ELO, has the a +30 wins margin in the past few months and actually in Code S. MMA is a great player, but I think he was built up too much from his MLG Columbus victory. I think the better player won. It has more to do with him pretty much single handedly winning SlayerS 2 GSTL's than the MLG win.
I'm a huge MMA fan and I was cheering him on when his name was still Jjob. I still think he needs a few more months and a decisive Code A tournament before he gets the super hype job. Hopefully in Code A July, he destroys everyone and wins the championship there.

This was basically a series of Polt outsmarting his opponent and taking advantage of his weaknesses, not to mention simply playing BETTER. How many other players would have simply lost it with the ghost snipes in the last game? Some of the people posting on teamliquid are so biased/plain stupid it's unbelievable. I actually find these pro-underdog fans more biased. Seriously, imagine these two players had no character behind them, and we're analysing purely on the games, half of these people going "OMG SUCH GOOD GAMES underdog won!!" would be complaining how boring it is.
Note that i didn't say "OMG GREAT GAMES" and i seriously don't care about Polt. What i care about is simply people giving credit when it's due or when X simply plays better than Y on a particular day.

Seriously, imagine these two players had no character behind them, and we're analysing purely on the games, half of these people going "OMG SUCH GOOD GAMES underdog won!!" would be complaining how boring it is. Fact is you CAN'T take 'character' out. The reason there's so much tension is cause there's so much hype and expectation. There really is no such thing as a game that is won on purely mechanics and ability alone. There is always pressure and mettle and determination involved. And if the player can't take it then he tilts. And that is why MVP and Nestea are great. Very clutch. Very stable. I'm not saying people should take character out when watching these games. You're reading it wrong. I was merely replying to the comment saying how MMA fanboys are biased in saying these are bad games. When in actuallity, these ARE bad games no matter how you look at it. I just went on to imply that of course any game would be good if the player you're cheering for is winning, no doubt.

For real?
I didn't expect that. But if that's true, it just shows who knows where it's at.
I thought at first that Polt would win by a slim margin, but after rewatching Polt v TOP I thought MMA would win. Polt looked shaky at times there.
Polt showed zero nerves today. I hope he keeps this up.

Who's to say Polt wouldn't win MLG if he was the one that went instead of MMA? It's really not fair to hold MLG as an accomplishment over a bunch of players who didn't attend it. The only people you can are Losira (Polt beat), MC (Polt beat), Moon (isn't even Code A), and July.

It is a shame it was as one sided as every other GSL, but I can't say I'm surprised. Despite the presence of such great players we continue to see dominance in the finals. The GSL finals tends to show the best player of the time. The turnover rate is pretty extreme, but Polt has undoubtedly shown the best play for the past couple months. I would have been disappointed to see him lose knowing he was the best. Such dominance is just not very entertaining though.
