Heh nice CTA (call to action) speech by Gretorp at the end. Not really a surprise, but I think with the rise of actual gaming houses, maybe this gap/disparity will get narrowed.

Pretty hypocritical to see Gretorp who calls himself a pro-gamer and spends more time casting than practicing these days tell foreign players they need to practice more. Maybe if they weren't all busy doing shit on the side like casting, streaming, and coaching they would.

The truth is it's a lot easier to cast or waste time shitting around on stream with trolls like Deezer and CombatEX than practice the same build for eight hours straight. Foreigners want to have their cake and eat it too, and it's not going to work for them.

Nail on head....

Real money is on the line, and for non-US players, the money is even bigger. Koreans often have full time jobs that pay $500 USD per month.

Having a chance to win thousands of dollars.... they aren't going to fool around. They're going to treat it like a job... a fun job... but a job nonetheless.

Right now its Pro's vs Joes.

Those are all really strong players and this open tournament only had a few really good foreigners so it isn't that embarrassing to have an all-korean top 4

Poor Ret. He should have thrown a game to avoid getting first place.

Impeccable logic. I'll remember to ask you for prerequisites before I say things.

I dont get why you guys are saying he should have avoided 1st... I'd much rather get 1st seed than get 2nd seed and play against MC, lol.

The only seed that is obviously more preferred is #3 vs DarkForcE... all the other seeds are against equal or better players. Everyone there is good ~_~

Well, Boxer came second and faces MC. Pretty sure that is alot scarier than any TSL player, so throwing games might not have been a good solution

Wow, strong showing TSL. And in the other thread they talk about TSL being almost dead after Rain+Tester+Fruitdealer left.
