IdrA plays a very methodical, macro style that focuses on getting a better economy and more units than his opponent while making better decisions. Or he all-ins. Neither of these styles seem to work very well vs. MC. I don't think it's that he can't, he just chooses not to. It's a different kind of playstyle and it just looks so much better than Idra's cause he's winning; he was doing the same thing vs MMA and it looked considerably weaker because MMA controlled it so well.
I added in a "in his current form" caveat for IdrA. IdrA is certainly capable of hitting the APM and multi-tasking necessary for this style, but he hasn't trained it for quite a while, because in his own words, "you don't need to practice that much for SC 2." He also, arguably, lacks the mentality for it - IdrA is a relatively defensive player (when he's not all-inning, at least); this kind of style fits players like Sen a lot more.

This! I honestly think IdrA is playing the wrong race. The way he plays, it's like he really *wants* to be able to use his macro skills to build a bigger army and then win a straight-up fight. 90% of his balance whining is about how badly zerg fails in a stand up fight. But that's just not the way zerg is designed. Losira won that game long before there was any straight up fight.
