can any1 inform me if the tournament time was 8 EDT or 10 EDT?
My opponent just reported me for forfeit win and he has 5 ffw...
If it was 10 EDT, then I was here before the 15 minutes but i couldnt see the bar on the top...

Far as I am aware, matches are at 8 CDT which is central so eastern time zone makes it 9 EDT.

If you look at the schedule page it says:

Regional Time Zones

Europe = BST (British Summer Time)
Americas = CDT (US Central Daylight Time)
Asia = KST (Korea Standard Time)

All matches are played at 8 PM Regional Time

Round 1: Thursday, June 23
Round 2: Sunday, June 26
Round 3: Thursday, June 30
No matches July 3 due to Independence Day Holiday
Round 4: Thursday, July 7
Round 5: Sunday, July 10
Round 6: Thursday, July 14
Round 7: Sunday, July 17

Not in the post:

8 PM CT (central)
=
9 PM ET (eastern)
=
6 PM PT (pacific)

found out we are supposed to play games on taiwan/korean server etc.. and EU.

Don't have accounts on every server on bnet Geforce!

So I lose this round and I guess I won't be playing any more. Really shitty format.

No matches are to be played on the Taiwan server. Servers to be played on are KR, EU, NA. If you would contact an official using the proper support methods all your issues would be resolved.

Format is fine, you just aren't using the system correctly.

format is shitty imo.. just my opinion. "fine" doesn't equate to 33% w/o rate in the league btw

Out of curiosity, are the results for the amateur group play going to work the same as the pro group play where the top 2 advance from each group? I can't find the rules for that specified anywhere.

Remember that time you got angry at hotbid for saying 'boo format' at NASL whilst being part of TSL?

You are part of NASL so i don't see how you can think this is acceptable and that isn't.

This is a fair amount more critical? hotbid comments on his friends chances in a tournament passively you say a format is shitty. Oh boy do i enjoy double standards

a) he's no longer associated with NASL other than the occasional guest cast possibly (correct me if im wrong).

b) the RULES state you ONLY need an NA account which would imply everything is played on the NA server...

c) the first part of the tournament is a bit tedious. It's more of a 'weed out the people who aren't going to bother to show up' phase (at least in the amateur) rather than an actual competitive phase.

regardless of whether he is still associated with NASL he basicly said to hotbid that because he was part of past TSL's he shouldn't midly diss another tournaments format which is exactly what incontrol is doing here only he is being far more critical. How is that not double standards?

admittedly i don't know the rules of this tourney inside and out but surely incontrol should try to resolve the issue in a non public manner especially not in such a rude way and after previous comments against other people doing similar things.

admittedly you are being dumb

I'm not a part of the NASL. I'm a competitor in this tourney (geforce) not some random tweet. Additionally I had 0 say in the format/organization of NASL... I don't get on Day9 about the format of his leagues he commentates for. I do however get on organizers that publicly criticize other leagues randomly.

I hate having to explain all this to you but you have the power to spread shit logic to others and it muddles my points.

So basically if you have even the slightest amount of responsibility with regards to organisation in any tournament you cannot comment on another league unless positively? But if you are a competitor you can call out a tournament on a 'shitty format' publicly instead of attempting to resolve your issues with the league 'behind closed doors'?

Are MLG pros and ameturs going to be allowed/maybeforced to play their match before/after the MLG anaheim event? Most, the smart ones, will be flying/driving thursday night and , the good ones, will be playing sunday night.

Are you guys doin any kind of compensation for this? i know its two different tournies, but i figured i'd ask.

Dude, are you serious? He said that he shouldn't be criticized for the format of NASL because he had no part in creating said format. Just quit trolling already

Is there anywhere we can see an overall standing (i.e. not each group individually)? I'd like to see who's in the top 10 amateur and pro divisions without sifting through each group if possible.

I don't really want to get too into it but it sounds like InControl was saying organizers should be more conscious of what they say/slander about a "rival" tournament. Players/commentators(when they aren't casting) should be allowed the freedom of expression that organizers can't afford. And I, for that matter, agree; Tournament formats would never change if the pros never spoke honestly about it.

How can you be this far into the tournament and not know when you have to be on to play your scheduled match? You should have done your research way in advance, figure out when you had to be on your time, and be ready to go. And even in the worst case scenario, there's a countdown timer on the site telling you when you need to log on.

So far, things to be going smoothly, albeit uneventfully. I actually only played out one of my games and got a BYE win and 5 forfeit wins. See you all in the ro3000!
