Maybe people complain protoss is just so "op" but fact is on the top level it isn't even close to that. At least the chinese protosses are really beasty right now, hope they will come to GSL soon maybe and dominate! ^_^ | ||

But let's take a look at his list of kills: MVP, MC, MKP, LosirA, Nestea, Bomber, NaDa Sure, not all those were Bo3s. But the ones that were (MVP, MC, Bomber) is already insane enough. Look at that and then call him overhyped. | ||

Not that they are UP or OP, but because all their matchups changed at the same time. Terrans too had some periods like this, but never in all 3 matchups. PvP was just patched and now often go late game. A lot of new things to learn. PvZ was not changed by patches, but by zergs creating news punishing builds and unit compositions. A lot of new things to learn. PvT has changed less drastically, but 2-3 months ago P had a period of great dominance in this matchup, that ended about the day of the GSL world championship semi finals. Since then, neither race is really favored, but we are still in an adapting phase for both races. A lot of things to learn. I think all in all, that explain the current P state at the moment. | ||

People who still cry Protoss OP are ignorant people who refuse to believe anything but their own ideas and those who agree with them. Fact of the matter is, Protoss players are having harder times as late; I see it as Zergs adjusting and finally creating solutions, the overall skill level up of Terrans, and the recent patch which forced the PvP matchup to be rethought and re-analyzed. I have faith though, in due time Protoss players will find solutions and re-adjust, just like how they did after MC's first GSL win. | ||

Also as of the present moment MC happens to be 4th in the Korean TLPD and 2nd in the International. If it takes more than that to deserve to be a top rated player I'd hate to be in their shoes. Also wouldn't the wins due to build orders and timings prove that he is that good if no one can beat them? I just don't see how you can be over hyped if you get the results. And as for nothing extraordinary, he has been considered to have the best micro in PvP for a long while now, and if he won so many games with the timings you mentioned, wouldn't he also have to have extraordinary timings? | ||

I mean, if it were me making the brackets, it would be rank 1 vs rank 64, rank 2 vs rank 63 and so on and so forth, like seeds in the NBA Playoffs. But I guess I'm just sad that there hasn't been any MC beyond the first round for two GSLs in a row (Up/Down notwithstanding). | ||
