They raise the money through fundraisers, sponsorship, entry fees and what not. WCG USA had sponsor issues and couldn't raise any money. WCG Can could only raise enough money to send 1 player (kiwikaki as he won the WCG Canada qualifier). However, each nation is allowed to send 3 players. IdrA will represent WCG USA with EG footing the bill (including the $1.5k registration fee). Huk will go as Canada's second player. Attero is not being screwed here. EG is paying for Huk. If anyone else from Canada wants to go they have to be willing to pay the bill (or the US for that matter). If Huk doesn't go for Canada, kiwi is going to be the only representative. Also, I'm not 100% sure EG is paying the registration fee. But I know for sure WCG Canada and WCG USA aren't (they have no money). So the only option is EG paying or WCG waiving the fee (very unlikely as every other nation would get pissed). thats from earlier in the thread explaining why usa has only one competitor and why huk is even there ![]() | ||
