WCG USA basically had no money, so even though they held qualifiers, they told players that they would have to fly themselves over to Korea + pay $1000 registration fee. Huk decided to play for Canada since Idra was already going from the US. | ||

EG eventually paid for Idra's participation on their own. The other two qualifiers (not sure who they are) couldn't afford to attend on their own. | ||
