Sky vs. Lyn has never been that good for Sky. Sky's a great player but he's not that aggressive when he needs to be, typically preferring to do the equivalent of macro. Infi on the other hand is great vs. Lyn because he is so aggressive, but he's not here, so Lyn took it.
Top WC 3 competition is really about a handful of players who are basically always playing against each other (because the external scene is so limited), and who each have their respective strengths and weaknesses. Lyn's greatest weakness has been vs. Infi and vs. Fly, and since he took out Fly in a close series I was thinking that he had an advantage against Sky, and so he did.

Honestly, I think Polt is the worst one there right now. Polt was code S last season. What were any of those guys doing besides losing before even making it to a ro8 in foreign tournaments?
Practising boss skills.

Highschool popularity contests are so immature in a global competition. I don't see Artosis and Day 9 going bat s333 over Idra and Huk.
It's great lyn is doing well, but i would also be happy for sky since he worked so hard to get where he is today. hopefully the woman will get a lesson from here superiors about profesionalism.
Actually Day9 and Tastosis are GR EATLY GREATLY biased toward foreigners whenever they cast foreigner vs Korean games, always picking at moments to say that the foreigner is ahead or adding in "that was a lot closer than it looked" when the Korean destroys. Not to mention the tidbits at the beginning about how oh so good the foreigner is . . . I've seen Day9 and *especially Tastosis get very excited over foreigners playing against Koreans just because they're foreigners.
i do agree there is some bias with tastosis, husky,. I think their mannerisms are a little bit more subtle and non-offensive overall. I just don't see artosis going crazy if huk wins MLG orlando. or if Naniwa gets second place at providence.
You are right, they do make the contests between koreans and foreigners alot closer than they usually are. But i still think there mannerisms are more restrained. I think it's quite okay for Artosis and tasteless to root for the underdog in GSL and MLGs.
Regarding the poster from Vietnam, Yes Korea is the host country. but they are sponsoring an International tournament that has players from all over the world. I think as a good host, you be fair and gracious and good manner when you interview, cast, and cheer. That's just my two cents. I

Kind of proud as a European how the tournament went, you might say europe had the most participants, but most of them arent worth mentioning at all. Topplayers from each region are missing and europe does well. gj! Top contenders all around were missing, but the chinese have been stomping more than the europeans overall.

Honestly, I think Polt is the worst one there right now. Sorry, but that's laughable. Polt's been doing pretty damn bad lately in the GSL He went 1-2 in his group where he went 1-1 with the best ZvT in the world Leenock, and botched a game against Ganzi that he should have won. Then he got paired up with ForGG in Code A. He's still one of the better Terrans in Korea and one of the highest winning percentages on Korean ladder. Not to say Kas, Titan or XiGua are bad, but I don't see how Polt is worse than them by losing to Leenock and ForGG. Exactly. Why can't we just all be happy to see them in Blizz Cup instead of mouthing off here?

SC2 may have all the money in esports right now, but it has such a long way to go as a competitive title. You can see how much more mature WC3 is in comparison--though obviously maturity should be expected from a dying game.
Well, you have to take into concideration that a) you arent used to see highlvl wc3 as often anymore, therefore you are more excited and happy b) Wc3 is much more developed then sc2 is currently, its just like with BW, BW games are for some people more exciting as well.

lol day9 casting huk is the most biased thing in the world. maybe day9 casting select could beat that. close though.

I actually still miss brood war not being at wcg. I dont see why a game that is still fun to watch that requires more skill to be good at needs to be removed because its too old and a sequel came out.

Sad to see KR fail so hard With only 3 representatives...... it's hard for them to win it all. KR needed like 6 or 7 ppl representing These KR are top level, they are way beyond the competition, and certainly way beyond the people they lost to, maybe excepting Kas. Losing like this is a failure. especially since its in korea, not like most other confrontations between korea and foreigners. I think people are treating SC 2 like BW still. They think that the edge that Koreans have in SC 2 is so insurmountable that if they send 3 players to a tournament they'll get top 3. That's not the case, and this WCG just showed it. I'd agree with you if these players were Killer, Fruitdealer, and TOP. These are top terrans, on a top tier even by GSL standards. It's not just random Code A terrans.

Right now I think Infi's probably the most in-shape HU player at the moment. Luci just beat Fly at some small cup also very recently! (Yay, UD!) And ofc, TeD's back and knocking on the G-League door.
