This is not a criticism as much an observation but...

I didn't see the best control in that game from HuK :S. Maybe I am just a bit spoiled because some of the other Protoss players are so uber...

I thought Huk played very well, probably needed some collosi in there however.. thats why he was having so much trouble with July's army.

Pure gateway is not that strong.. mass stalker is mostly only really good once you have the zerg on the run.

I have to ask: I understand "outplayed" but wtf does outclassed mean? HuK isn't classy because of a missed force field, wtf?

I am no native speaker, but outclassed for me refers not to the game in question itself, but to the fact that one player is simply a much better player than the other in general, and that it shows. Therefore he outclasses him. Has nothing to do with being "classy". But I could of course be wrong.

Im trying to think of what Huk could have done better.
He was in a bad spot and its so hard for toss to expand in that situation; too much area to cover from Mutas and speedlings/roaches.
Perhaps the base trade was his best chance of winning but the probability of winning that was low as well.

Soo hard to play agaisnt zerg sometimes ;/

He overcommitted in his first push.

Maybe a bit, but the push was a net gain for him anyway and he was in a strong position after it.

July proving again that Zerg does NOT need to spam drones. You can play low econ Zerg just fine.

His opponent wasn't exactly massing bases and probes either. Actually went a two base push (not pressure).

Any decent toss with better defence would have absolutely crushed July. July was so behind after that inital 6 gate push.

Exactly. They are the same type of player :S

How on earth are they the same type of player?

What must happen so we see more July today?

InCa wins this game. Resulting in a decider match between InCa/July and Rain/Huk. This is also best case scenario for Huk.

July is like: "Drones - who needs them. I just need spines"
I think Idra and Morrow should think a bit about changing theirs playstyle (especially Idra since Morrow play is sometimes Julylike)

Well played by July :D Huk's just not code S imo, like Rain. Nerves still just get the better of him He should get confidence classes from MC.

By now MC's confidence has probably taken a hit. He's been losing a lot of games lately. GSTL, WC, Dreamhack (even though he ended up winning), TSL, and this latest GSL.

LOL He's won 15K last two weeks (more than anyone else) and over 200K in SC2 (more than anyone else) U shouldn't worry about MC confidence. Most people understand you can't win them all.

July has such impressive game sense. Where we often see Zerg play a very reactionary game, July is so good at using agression to take complete control over the match. I think it's great to see how this style is so viable at the top level. July <3

Huk's capable of more, but seriously anyone master level and above can see he played that game against July terribly. His control was lacking and decision making very suspect.

Hope he can play better in the up/down matches.

WHAT? Are you kidding? Morrow vs Grubby/MC at Coppenhagen was embarrassing to watch. He went mass roach/hydra with corruptors and just tried to burrow under FFs. He played like trash. Morrow is no where near Idra's level, who actually almost crushed MC but miscontrolled his broodlords for 5 seconds.

really bad decision making by HuK, crossfire is so good for Protoss too.

First push, run by up ramp instead of fighting spines -> win

After that it was a lot of really bad scouting and being wide open for counter attacks.

I dont think huk scouted for thirds at all and seemed to have no idea top left was taken / timing

Then deciding to all in with july having a ridiculous number of spines..

I just dont see the decision making of a good player.
