Yeah, it's sad to see that as well, but every sport nurtures on fostering nationalism, classism or racism, so it's really hard to ask esports of a maturity not even physical sports possess.
It's even funnier that some europeans are fast enough to bring their nationalism into play, but when NA tries to foster theirs, they go like wtf, all North american league? wtf?

Whats more annoying is those combining both in the same statement obviously

MLG lol. Didn't have to look that far!

Rooting for Thorzain. Don't want to see a PvP Finals.

Do think we are seeing somewhat antiquated tactics from Boxer. Marauders are good early/mid game units but not late game when toss catches up on tech and has AOE units out. What's the counter to this? Not tanks...their splash is ineffective vs the fatter stalkers who don't clump nor for the squirrely zealots who don't stay together like say marines. Key is Thors with blue flamers and marines as minerals sinks.
Thors > Colossi Thors could care less about HT's and AOE units in general Thors < Chargelots...but blue flamers >>> chargelots Thors > Stalkers Thors < Immortals ...but strike cannons >> immortals Thors > Phoenix Thors < Voids...but just a few vikings >>> voids
I predict this will be the future for terran vs toss in macro maps... Early pressure hellion/rine to bank time for the Thors to be produced...then once a critical mass of thors completes send in a thor army with SCV train to win the game (intermixed with hellion harassment of protoss expansions during the mid-late game). With the money saved from not producing so many dropshops, vikings (thors will take out colossi) and racks/engineering bay upgrades, terran can put their money into vehicle weapons and armor which are very sick upgrades.

Glad you watch SC2 for anything other than SC2 matches! I don't get it. Do the games suddenly get less interesting if the one playing USED to play WC3 instead of BW? Aren't they all playing SC2 now? Does it matter where they were born? The no Zergs I can understand, but if that was truly your motivation to stop watching, why did you watch the RO8? I really dont think theres anyway i can reply to this without sounding like an elitist so im not going to even bother. (I'll gladly tell you in PM if you want to shoot me one though)

Now let's take a look at this here TSL3. Korean SC1 players, European and NA SC1 players, and European WC3 players all entered. All that remains are four European WC3 players. Honestly, I think their macro has caught up, and perhaps their micro and creativity is starting to shine through.
I'm not saying they're dominant, just that they've truly arrived and are here to stay. Thoughts? The biggest tournaments GSL, Assembly, Dreamhack, MLG are still almost exclusively dominated by BW players. People have no sense of perspective, this is just one online tournament. The only WC3 player to really prove anything yet at the top level are Naniwa and maybe Moon. I still think that in order to really prove you're at the top level you need to go to Korea and make something happen in the GSL. Like in all sports anyone can beat anyone on their day and especially when players play as many games as they do in SC2, but consistancy and winning major tournaments are what really seperate the best from the rest, which is why MC is so clearly the best player playing the game right now. i agree 100% with you people just want to look at something they want to look at and that is TSL right now with no korean and no BW pros but you gotta look at the big picture

It won't be a PvP finals regardless... the TvT and PvP semifinals are on opposite sides of the bracket, so the final is a guaranteed TvP

Finals are going to be PvT either way ^_^

PvP finals is not even possible.
It's TvT and PvP semifinals

And European get smash by Korean in LIVE tourney across EU. Whenver there is Korean in a LIVE tourney, they will win it. Noone for me to root for anymore, hope Naniwa or Thorzain takes it cos they are the best 2 left. Pretty much this. Live GSL world championship foreigners didn't even get close to winning it and MC fly's in a 4-0 in Copenhagen. Don't underestimate how a live stage affects nerves. MC played tons of televised matches, whereas most europeans haven't. So we could argue foreigners are actually better players but just have to get used to the live pressure. I guess time will tell. I see the gap extending though not shortening with training houses having a larger impact over time. that's certainly true. I think it's not really so much that koreans are better at SC2. It's their way of training that makes them so good, so the more foreigners practise under the same conditions, the more equal it will be in the future.
The one thing I am really interested to see is the results in the coming months of the players in the training house TLO is in. The best environment will breed the best players over time without a doubt.

TSL 3: the tournament that signaled the end of the old order? Possibly but the Chinese will be coming soon. I hope so. Wanna see Sky,infi, ted in action. Sky's brother is playing in the stars war tournament, think i saw one game of infi in beta. ted retired from wc3, but maybe he would make a comeback for sc2 though iunno. one can always hope ofc So I guess nobody plays undead now? not followed it this year at all.
Lucifer does, but thats pretty much it.

Don't think Thorzain will make it past Kas, his TvT seems to be his weakness while it's Kas' strength.
3-1 in favor of Kas
So Kas-Nani in the finals, with Nani taking it

colossus 9 range zealots w/charge stalkers w/blink sentries w/forcefields void rays dark templars, especially late game high templars, you saw the series
dont see many immortals
For Terran against Toss: marines w/stim marauders w/stim + slow ghosts vikings (doesn't really count since they're useless if collosus aren't there)
mech is very risky and is incredibly slow, besides thors blow and tanks vs blink stalkers? lol
so 2 out of 3 tier 3 units that toss can build and none for terran
just seems like toss has way more options, especially late game
Thinly disguised whining, sigh. Also, you didn't see Thorzain vs MC, did you? When you only have to go back a single day in the very same tournament to disprove your theorycraft, you're really not trying hard enough.

HAHA yeah right buddy. Wait till more European players start showing up for the GSL. I live in Canada and i say Europe is the best. Want more proof?? Look at the ladder rankings.
