Did they ever confirm this one? All I remember Chill saying was "Oh, I think MC is in Denmark right now for a tournament, which must mean that this series was played while MC is staying in Denmark." Not exactly the best assumption to make considering MC was in Korea playing in GSL just a few days ago.

Rays do decent with magic box, but a tiny number of marines will render them useless because you can't micro them against the marines when they're within thor range.

Im sorry but that just made my day.
Great play by ThorZain. Looking forward to watching and following him.

Chill specifically said that MC was in EU so lag was not an issue and people couldn't blame that if MC lost.

Yeah I remember hearing the same thing toward the beginning of today's casts, but what I thought he said was "I believe MC is in Denmark for a [tournament I can't remember the name of] right now. That means both players were playing on the European server and you can't bring up the latency issue anymore". Wasn't it? It sounded like he was just making an assumption there considering they are casting from replays.
That is, unless they mentioned it again and confirmed it sometime during when the MC/Thorzain series was being casted.

Lag wasn't an issue. Anyone who watched that game objectively would be able to see that. Thorzain just played really well. Game 4 was sick with a lot of back and forth action. Looking forward to more terrans adapting this fast bio upgrade style instead of early pressure.

Does anyone know how long that 4th game was? It felt like it went on forever

But unfortunately, many are either ignorant or simply refuse to acknowledge it.
MC being taken out is an upset as significant as Flash being eliminated from a league by Hyuk, the Youtube vods definitely need giant red captions to remind the audience that both players are physically in Europe at the time.

Actually maybe you should re read. He was bringing up counter points to 4 different "disadvantages" that people claim, while he is essentially saying it is all wrong, and that they were on a level playing field.

Going by the unit tester, straight void rays vs thors it's basically no contest. Rays win overwhelmingly with magic box and hold position over thors. Thorzain didn't have many marines with his force if I recall either, though he probably would have reacted with marines if he sniffed void rays were coming.

Can't you just.. spread them before the battle? 1v1 a voidray beats a thor easily. A repaired thor might be another issue, but then the thor is more expensive and double the supply, so that should offset it somewhat.

Playing an online tournament is different then a LAN tournament, anyone that has done can tell you that.
I still havn't seen the VODs, but from what I heard, Thorzain was a huge baller, while MC didn't look like himself. I shall wait until I do to pass judgement

I mean he didn't all-in even once.

Was rooting for Adell, but seeing 2 protoss lose in one night is really good for SC2 given the current situation (if only for image sake). The fav of the tourny (MC) going out is pretty big as well.

Have you been watching the GSL lately? Protosses are getting eliminated left and right by Terran.
