Kas's TvT is just too good I think, I don't see Thorzain winning against him but he could take a game or two.

Kas hype? Kas will literally beat down thorzain in TvT. His TvP is decent, and his TvZ is amazing as well. There is literally 0 hype for Kas, when he has WAY WAY WAY more results than thorzain.

Other than the strategic blunders, yes. How do you think it was a close series despite those blunders?

How can someone be "clearly the better player" if they make several strategic blunders?

OTHER THAN THEM. God, how many times do I need to rewrite that? His micro/macro etc were better. His builds, upgrade timing etc were not at all.

Sorry, I did miss that part. In that case it's kind of a poor way to put it, why not say that Thorzain had much better builds and upgrades while MC had better micro/macro? That seems less likely to draw fire from the internet and doesn't take away from Thorzain's ability as a player.

Sorry ^_^

Thorzain came up with great builds, I'm not taking anything from him. However I haven't found his mechanics notable (not bad, just not notable) so I don't know how he'll hold up once people adapt. In particular how will he do against people who upgrade early and don't respond badly to funky builds?

wait what? He had +2/+2 even under harassement and kept his macro going, isn't that good mechanic?

Uhm it's not really indicative of anything? It's not hard to get upgrades :/

Anyway I didn't say his mechanics were bad at all, I said not notable. Many players have similar solid mechanics. Not many have MC's mechanics.

Then in this case i didn't see any notable mechanics from MC in this series compared to thorzain they were even.

edit or explain to me what i've missed.

MC sure had awesome mechanics, having 0 upgrades for half the games and apart from the tal'darim game he had subpar macro, and I'd like to see anyone under hard pressure still pump out scvs and upgrades which requires you to not queue a shitton of units but still have enough to defend, while microing his army to defend against said pressure

Exactly. Out of all of the top Koreans I can think of right now, MC's mechanics are probably the WORST. Seriously...his micro is impressive, but his multi-tasking and macro aren't close to the best. I can literally think of 10 Koreans who have better mechanics off the top of my head.

Wow game 5 of MC-Thorazain was so interesting.
+ Show Spoiler +
Thorazain breaking out mass thor was something I (and im guessing MC) was shocked to see, that push was so powerful and well thought out with the blue flames to take out the zeals and the raven for PDD and to detect the hallucinations. Wow so impressed with Thorazain

Kas will rape Thorzain, Thorzain has great TvP while Kas has great everything.

This! I honestly think i would be happier to see MC lose to Kas than to Thorzain. Kas is a complete player, while Thorzain is just good on TvP with his upgrade timmings and non common army composition.

Protoss still didnt figure a way to deal efficiently with heavy thor build, yeah there are several possible ways to deal with it, but everyone seems to have a possible way and everytime there is a game with heavy thor composition usually you see something different from the protoss usually failing. It's strange why terrans dont use that more often.

Are you kidding me? Haven't you ever seen Thorzain play? not only is his TvP ''great'' his overall gameplay is fucking fantastic, his builds are like IdrA's, lasting more than 8 minutes into the game.
His games against Fruitdealer alone should convince you of his TvZ abilities.
Thorzain has said, and it's clearly visibly, that it's his worst matchup is TvT, but with the ability and skill to prepare for every damn match and map, Kas V Thorzain is gonna be bloody amazing...

Are you serious? FD played like GARBAGE in his series. I'm convinced of Thor's TvP abilities (beating Tyler + MC straight up is amazing), but I'm not convinced about his other match-ups.

Even though Fruitdealer played less than optimal, he was never even near close to beating Thorzain, since he's so damn solid, and just to tease you a little, I never said his TvZ was good or anything, I only stated that his games against fruitdealer alone, should tell you his skill level in TvZ...
But really, you have to admire his ability to prepare for every match he has to play?
From what he's shown so far, I am so excited for what he prepares against Kas, and I am even more excited about if Kas can possibly adapt to something unusual

It's alot harder to find a link in another language. You ever tried to look for a non-english song you heard on the radio\? Good luck with that.

MC losing sets up an awesome outcome from this tournament. Either A) Boxer wins the TSL, which would be so so great, or B) a non-Korean takes it, despite most of the powerhouse Korean players being in the event, which would be hugely awesome. Hurray Starcraft!

Perfect prediction! A bit sad too. Kas's weakest is TvP, Thorzain's TvT while Kas is an über god at it.
Basically Naniwa wins. The only way I see Naniwa not winning is losing to Hasu. Naniwa is good but it's still PvP.

ok so basically you already know the result in which hasu and nani will win in their respective matches. now im rooting for cruncher to bust nani. Its pvp so he has a shit load of chance,

Kas's TvT did look strong, but NaDa played like shit.
Thorzain has been, by far, the most impressive player in the TSL3 so far so I think it's a bit too early to count him out completely.

I have to admit that it was completely baller of Thorzain to break out his namesake unit for the final game. I'm sure that isn't the actual reason for his name, but ending it with Thors just made it even more entertaining,
