Too bad i didnt catch all the games today, but im so happy i saw 4th game MC played. Its (almost) the same build ive been trying to refine past week and now i got reference how to actually do the BO. Almost abadoned it cus i thought it only works when opponent is even worse than me. Luckily MC showed it can work even on serial level.

Its really interesting to read threads like this. Koreans are plain and simply losing often to Europeans, yet no one is willing to admit it. Maybe a year from now once its normal, people will accept European equality?

Question is: can they repeat their results on LAN? So far, nope. Way to come out of your shell when a Korean loses to bait a Europe vs Korea war that is unnecessary.

Both Thorzain and MC played from Europe this round.

Stop overhyping players who have done nearly nothing that completely underhyped players (MKP, Polt) have done as well. The pro-foreigner bias is crazy.

I don't know why you are so butt hurt. It was an awesome series.

Did I say it wasn't?

Thorzain can beat Naniwa, Kas cannot. Kas is going to own Thorzain in TvT therefore Naniwa is going to take it all.

Pretty sad that Thorzain and Kas cannot meet in the finals but Naniwa is pretty entertaining to watch too.

Kas can beat Naniwa, but we'll see.
Anything can happen in PvP too, and he might have to play two to get to the finals

Throzains stats show a slightly weaker TvT, where as Kas is a total beast at it

heeeeem thorzain beated cloud in his way to qualify for the TSL3 and i think we didn't see a lot of thorzain TvT in a while... on the other hand Kas is just so good at TvT. If thorzain can come with some good gameplan/BO i think he can win.

Are you fucking serious? Why can't you appreciate the fact that a relatively unknown foreign player takes out two former GSL champions in FruitDealer and MC through extremely entertaining games? What is wrong with hyping this? Back in the days we couldn't even fathom with the idea of even the best foreigner beating a top Korean. Thorzain is doing something truly special, and I really don't get what your problem is. It deserves the hype. He has earned it.

Yes he lost in a series 3-2, but can you honestly say Thorzain can take 2 GSL titles? his TvT is something around 65%. MC has the best PvP in the world. 1 series is not a determinant of who's "better"

My head hurts. Who is the better player means who is better among two people. Give Thorzain 8months in oGs house, 5 qualifier chances of GSL and you think he wouldn't as well as MC?

Other than the strategic blunders, yes. How do you think it was a close series despite those blunders?

How can someone be "clearly the better player" if they make several strategic blunders?

OTHER THAN THEM. God, how many times do I need to rewrite that? His micro/macro etc were better. His builds, upgrade timing etc were not at all.

Sorry, I did miss that part. In that case it's kind of a poor way to put it, why not say that Thorzain had much better builds and upgrades while MC had better micro/macro? That seems less likely to draw fire from the internet and doesn't take away from Thorzain's ability as a player.

Edit: I'd also say that having better timing than MC is pretty damn impressive.

Kas will rape Thorzain, Thorzain has great TvP while Kas has great everything.

This! I honestly think i would be happier to see MC lose to Kas than to Thorzain. Kas is a complete player, while Thorzain is just good on TvP with his upgrade timmings and non common army composition.

Protoss still didnt figure a way to deal efficiently with heavy thor build, yeah there are several possible ways to deal with it, but everyone seems to have a possible way and everytime there is a game with heavy thor composition usually you see something different from the protoss usually failing. It's strange why terrans dont use that more often.
