Great games today! Especially Thorzain vs Mc.

Sen vs Boxer and Thorzain vs Mc are the best matches of the TSL so far.

Boxer vs Thorzain final? Would be good

Throzains stats show a slightly weaker TvT, where as Kas is a total beast at it

Yes he lost in a series 3-2, but can you honestly say Thorzain can take 2 GSL titles? his TvT is something around 65%. MC has the best PvP in the world. 1 series is not a determinant of who's "better"

thorzain's tvt is very mediocre though. it's barely above 50 percent i think while kas is very good tvt.

it's a pity since probably naniwa gonna advance from the other side of the bracket.

a shit load of voidray?

Not to mention Immortals are practically built to counter Thors.

If you let your Terran opponent get 6+ Thors without you scouting or reacting, it's your own fault.

Hell of a job by ThorZaIN! Absolutely fantastic series by both players, more PvT games like that please! That thor strategy was full of WIN, holy hell it looked invincible.

Who is the better overall player?....

MC was the the player with more past success.
And I think that ThorZaIN was the better prepared player.

But I believe that if we ask this question a few months from now, i think it's more likely that we will say ThorZaIN was the better player overall. :-D

Players left in TSL: Thorzain, Kas, Naniwa, Cruncher, Hasuobs, Boxer

All are former wc3 players, except for Boxer.
At least the western sc2 scene is pretty much dominated by wc3 players.

5/6 won a qualifier as well, invited players have done so much worse, I would like to see more qualifiers for the next TSL, if there is one.

Now say it was somehow because of lag, I dare you! MC is insanely good, but ThorZain was better this time, no excuses

MC pretty much never loses PvP and PvZ, while almost all of Thorzain's wins come from TvP. It's pretty clear who the better player overall is.

Who cares, this is the TSL3 Round of 8 thread. This is Thorzain`s thread, the hero of the moment, not MC the perhaps arguably better player if you evaluate two matchups that he didnt even play today.

anyone think mc shouldnt have hallucinated that many immortals ? i saw about 7 or 8 of them, so it was kinda obvious that he halu'd them since they were in such great numbers... maybe if he'd have only halu'd a few of them thorzain wouldve wasted strike cannons on those instead of the colossi?

just throwin that out there, by no means do i really understand pvt

Thorzain had a raven anyway, he could tell which we hallucinations.

And he scanned MC while he was hallucinating so it was double obvious.

Kas will rape Thorzain, Thorzain has great TvP while Kas has great everything.

I guess looking on the bright side it can't be a PvP finals. Hoping to see Boxer and Cruncher advance with Boxer taking the gold over Kas in the finals.

Other than the strategic blunders, yes. How do you think it was a close series despite those blunders?

How can someone be "clearly the better player" if they make several strategic blunders?

Exactly, MKP 3-2ed MC too, with none of the ridiculous fanfare.

What ridiculous fanfare?

Are you not reading the thread?

Also, Polt beat MC TvP too. This is just the latest in his "lose to random terrans" tour.

Can we just appreciate what Thorzain has done? Idk how many of you guys followed BW, but things like this just did not happen. Foreigners beating a top Korean? Otherworldly for us old BW fans.

Exactly this. It sickens me the whining and excuses we have sometimes. People even tried to blame lag until they realised he was playing in Europe.

Mad props to Thorzain. Europe's best kept secret until now <3

It's funny how people still are claiming that Thorzain just got lucky or isn't "really" better, even after he taken out nesTea and MC.
