A little disappointing to hear that MKP was handicapped.
I know the rules said China/Korea could be played on either server. MKP had to agree upon China, plus from my understanding the lag from KR > China is very minimal.
I hate how everyone thinks cause it's online it doesn't matter . xiaOt is SICK good.

yeah I love MarineKing but he got beaten fairly. xiaOt is easily one of the best Protoss I've seen and very unique.

Well, I'm watching the games right now and Xiaot is definitely playing sick good, very impressed with that warp prism decision in the second game. Just saying that the fact that MKP complained about lag made me feel like it tarnished the results of the games a bit (I wouldn't have made my previous post if I didn't hear about MKP complaining, because I'm assuming that he's an honest guy and lag actually did throw him off, rather than him making shallow excuses for himself). But when you think about it, I agree - the KR -> China lag should be extremely minimal, seeing that they're literally right next to each other geographically, so it really shouldn't have much of an impact if any at all on that series.

I think history has shown us thus far that most Korean refuse to practice in the conditions they will be playing in. It's said only a few if any took up TL's offer to practice on NA before TSL, and none took up the offer of playing at the oGs house. I am SURE that the organizer's for this would have provided any practice accounts necessary.
Korean may be good, but every time I hear this I got to point a finger at them (besides oGs). It's no different then when in GTSL's you will see a team send out one of their weaker Terrans (any race here, just an example) vs a TvT specialist beyond all logic. They may have good mechanics and strats, but game planning and proper preparation seems to evade them.
Also I started playing on the Chinese server from the East Coast of the US and the lag is hardly noticeable even though I am roughly 100x farther than KR > CN. It's there, you feel it, but after a couple games you don't really notice it much/

QFT.
TLDR: Harden up, or don't play in the tournament - lost a lot of respect for MKP b/c he chose to cry.
In other news, the perfect place to play KR vs US would be @ SEA server, if it was hosted in Aus - unfortunately it's hosted in SG sooooo......
inb4 "lag" - Aus---> KR = 150, Aus---> NA = 180, that = fairest possible game.

It does indeed, thanks a lot!

GeniusMVP played the first game against WE.LoveTT and got owned, then refused to play the second game.

I like that girl caster (first one) but that dude sounds like he's trying to whisper... sorta like living at home and not wanting to wake up parents or roommates.

Who? You mean either Gunrun or Raelcun, either way that's how they normally talk and cast. Also there was only one female commentator this past weekend or actually ever in this tourney, Eleine Sun.

Not sure it's the guy in MKP games seems a little quiet but maybe thats a welcome change from moletrap JK - I just started watching this tournament and impressed so far. Thx.

I watched the VOD and it seems to be lag. The disconnect screen kept coming up for Genius.

I think he will probably get banned from any future tournament held in China.

saw so many people first thought highly of chinese players, then worried about outsea players can't do their best because of the lag on a chinese serv. this tournament invites SC2 players all over the world, and the organizer had thought of this lag problem.
So if the 2 players are from different serv, first they enter a custom game, and the player who born at a smaller o'clock will have the home advantage. that is to say the BO3 game will held out at the serv in his country. For example if i was born at 3 o'clock, and the opponent was born at 12 o'clock, then the game will be played on my serv. That is why some game of this tournament played at Kor serv, some at chinese serv, and some at US serv.
Some people say, luck is a part of the player's performance. well in this tournament it is especially so. And i think if one agrees to this term, then he shouldn't quit after he made his choice.
