CHN <-> KR lag is probably worse than you guys think it is, due to the Great Firewall of China, in which all content that passes into and out of China has to go through a government filter. That said, this applies both ways - from KR -> CHN and from CHN -> KR - so there's no happy solution, and it applies to CHN <-> any other server, so it's not solvable by playing on a middle server. Of course, it's not unplayable or else CHN players would not have been training on KR since Beta (learned that from Sen's stream), and there are probably VPN solutions that can get through the filter, though I'm not sure if the players are using them.
I can understand why Star Wars preferred to use CHN, since it is a Chinese tournament and they didn't want their own players playing with the handicap. And I don't think all of the matches were played on CHN. From the ids used, it seems that Nestea vs. Lovecd was on KR, while CHN vs. EU and KR vs. EU matches were played on NA. NA vs. EU, I didn't pay much attention, but they were probably played on NA as usual.
Still, in my opinion, international tournaments with LAN components, like Star Wars, should use regional qualifiers as opposed to cross-regional ones. Just allot a few slots to each server and go from there.

So slight change in the schedule.
mTw.Dimaga vs. ToD got delayed.
So we moved up Liquid`Jinro vs. oGs.MC has been moved up to Monday ! ToD and Dimaga SHOULD make Tuesday's cast, but I am not 100% sure it will happen at this point.

Will he be attending the qualifiers for the upcoming season? He said time's still not ripe for him to go to GSL, as he is the leader of his team at the moment and he's got responsibility. After his match in the Starswar 6 + Show Spoiler +against MarineKing, he said he played him many times on the ladder, but his win ratio against him is about 4:6. Actually MKP complained a little between matches that he had got lag too. IdrA and even iNcontrol were talking about how people shouldn't be taking online results seriously (even more so after the whole EG team league controversy). Although, even though these results should be taken with grain of salt, the winners played well. Oh, damn - this wasn't on the KR server? I was excited when I heard XiaoT took out MKP since I'm pretty interested in the Chinese scene, and I had simply assumed that everyone was playing on the KR server since China and SK literally share a border. A little disappointing to hear that MKP was handicapped. I know the rules said China/Korea could be played on either server. MKP had to agree upon China, plus from my understanding the lag from KR > China is very minimal. I hate how everyone thinks cause it's online it doesn't matter . xiaOt is SICK good. Well, I'm watching the games right now and Xiaot is definitely playing sick good, very impressed with that warp prism decision in the second game. Just saying that the fact that MKP complained about lag made me feel like it tarnished the results of the games a bit (I wouldn't have made my previous post if I didn't hear about MKP complaining, because I'm assuming that he's an honest guy and lag actually did throw him off, rather than him making shallow excuses for himself). But when you think about it, I agree - the KR -> China lag should be extremely minimal, seeing that they're literally right next to each other geographically, so it really shouldn't have much of an impact if any at all on that series. I think history has shown us thus far that most Korean refuse to practice in the conditions they will be playing in. It's said only a few if any took up TL's offer to practice on NA before TSL, and none took up the offer of playing at the oGs house. I am SURE that the organizer's for this would have provided any practice accounts necessary. Korean may be good, but every time I hear this I got to point a finger at them (besides oGs). It's no different then when in GTSL's you will see a team send out one of their weaker Terrans (any race here, just an example) vs a TvT specialist beyond all logic. They may have good mechanics and strats, but game planning and proper preparation seems to evade them. Also I started playing on the Chinese server from the East Coast of the US and the lag is hardly noticeable even though I am roughly 100x farther than KR > CN. It's there, you feel it, but after a couple games you don't really notice it much/
I feel like a point a lot of people are forgetting is that the infamous korean slaying weekend of the TSL happened during the end of the GSL and beginning of GSTL. With the matches being played a few days before actual airing, I think it's pretty obvious that they were much more foccused on practicing for their GSL matches.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but the graphics for the posters are awesome _b
Looking forward to more Dimaga :D

Such a cool tournament and equally poor coverage. How many weeks does it take to get VODs up? Only parts of ro32 are up at this point and it took forever to get those up in the first place.

hum .. update op pleace, like all ro16 games are finished.

Uhm are you telling me that all ro16 games have been played and there's been only 5 posts since the hype poster? Seems weird in that case.

Does this thread need a giant flashing
"THIS IS A THREAD FOR THE ENGLISH BROADCAST, DO NOT MENTION SPOILERS FROM THE CHINESE BROADCASTS IN HERE. THE RESULTS WILL BE UPDATED ONCE THE GAMES ARE CAST FOR A WESTERN AUDIENCE"
sign at the top...
seriously, round 16 is being replay cast in English for us today and tomorrow (as the lovely posters make clear) because casting live in English is terrible logistically for casters/organizers, and because it's at terrible times for viewers too...

Second post has all the games that have been cast so far, conveniently sorted by round, day, and individual games to avoid spoilers...
hell, the OP says under the VODs section "see next post"...

Q: Will these games be cast live? A: No, they will be cast off of replays for all English broadcasting. Chinese casting TBD.
Q:Why? A: Many reasons. The most important is that these games are being played at an hour many NA and EU players would miss, casting off of replays will allow this to happen at a reasonable time. Yeah, and 0:00 is totally reasonable for Europe /sarcasm

So the winning of the ro16 will be going to china for the lan tournament?
