The game was in his hands and he rushed it. What he should have been doing was trying to pull the toss ball around the map and slowly dismantled MC's economy while waiting for the moment that MC would overextend when he could kill the army. I do understand his frustration though. The games you lose where you've completely outplayed your opponent are the worst ones to lose. It would be even worse if the player you've almost beaten is MC. He shouldn't have thrown it though, he clearly showed that in a macro game he can compete with MC so why not try and play the same game and just not make the same mistakes. MC's English has really improved and he came across as a really friendly guy. I always assumed that his overconfidence was just his competitive Starcraft persona but it makes me wonder whether the intention of his words gets a bit lost in the written interviews translated from Korean to English. You say that, but if he stayed back then lost because it was 200v200 people would be crying, "IdrA played too passively!" It's a big part of the problem with the matchup. You can't win at 200/200 so if you win a mid 100s battle with corruptors and without enough to cause a gg then you either have to engage without the best options or you have to wait and risk a 200/200 fight. Also saying stuff about pulling the toss army around doesn't make sense when 1/2 your army is hydras and as a result you have worse mobility than the P. I personally do like Nydus in this situation, but after a certain army size they don't work because you can't prevent the base-trade and you're not likely to win the base-trade with an army that can't stand up in a head on fight or win in mobility without the nydus.

And yeah, so it'll take some time to be as good with Terran or Protoss as he is with Zerg but who cares? Let's say Starcraft 2 lasts for 9 more years... I think the down time will pay for itself in the long run. And that way, he won't have to throw games away and travel for nothing. :7 He's commited A LOT of time to Zerg. It will take equally as long if not longer to reach his current Zerg level. You're right. Wasting 9 years is a much better choice. My mistake. ![]()

I feel that if you go ALL HYDRA you can't just show your army and then not attack for 5 minutes, if you're gonna max hydras you need to do something with them FAST, as in when the protoss DOESN'T have colossi etc... Instead he let the protoss react accordingly to mass hydra, wich is psi storm and colossus. If he would've pushed out instead earlier I think the outcome could've been different. he had to be passive because he made too many corruptors. he needed to buy time to get a greater spire
