Interesting. I thought people whined about Korean interviews being "robotic" when the player was too polite and showed no personality. MC gives cocky interviews and shows tons of personality, and still gets called "robotic" by you.
It's understandable that people dislike MC for acting cocky, but it merely comes down to a person's specific criteria by which he/she judges someone else: do we judge by the person's surface actions, or judge by the person's deeper motivations and reasons behind those actions? Seems like you're simply the former.

Well, it depends on how you define "valid". What I meant by it was that my reasons for liking MC are all supported with evidence about his actual character, rather than just saying "Oh, I like MC because he's MC!" or something fluffy and meaningless like that.

To the people who are saying that Protoss players don't complain when both Terrans beat the Toss, nobody usually complains when the underdog wins. Nobody complained when Terran was, in fact, OP and Fruit won or when MC won (the 1st time). If Terran starts to dominate in the next GSL, we WILL get lame OP posts from BOTH other races about stim and marauders, it's the cycle of SC2 as of right now, so please get off your high horse. Aside from that, nice comeback by MKP today.

I wouldn't even say MC was very cocky, maybe for a Korean but by western standards I think he is a justifiably confident player - he has won 2 GSLs after all.
He has a great personality for a competitor imo.

This. And I think he'll be in a very "free" mindset, as he is here nearly by accident after thinking he was out for sure (I don't manage to explain this properly in english  )
So he'll be able to play relaxed, with big stage experience and nothing to lose, against an MVP that lost his first TvTs recently. I don't think we'll see a 4-0 this time.

Both MKP and MC have amazing micro.. don't know why people just have to discredit one and not give the deserving props to both players.. *shrugs*

The only thing revealing about his personality in his interviews is the one where he says that confidence/overconfidence are his strengths/weaknesses.
That's it. The rest is simple-syntaxed, one-dimensional self-praise (i do exaggerate, though).
It IS robotic, as you can not see any personality in his interviews. And no, i don't care if other korean progamers do it also. That's why i don't read most korean interviews.
As long as he's not able to overcome his nerve issues without being annoyingly arrogant, i will always root for his opponents. And anyway, it's not like his cockiness is entertaining or interesting to read, no, it's always the same stuff, such as "I am best protoss", etc.

I don't know how you can try and say bio micro takes any more skill than gateway micro. Gateway micro involves kiting, unit positioning, and forcefields. Bio micro involves the first two. It's really apples and oranges considering how different the units actually are.
