Terran bio seems to scale better with food than gateway units, however, likely because stalkers are bigger than rines or mauraders and zealots are melee. That doesn't mean it's not viable to stay on gateways for so long though you just have to constantly be engaging and taking advantage of Protoss's superior ability to disengage or to chase down retreating units (once you have blink and leg speed). Adel's game in the TSL is a really good example of how to make it work. Grubby's play here is a really good example of how to make it look like it's impossible to stay gateway vs. barracks that long when that's really not true at all. I agree with you that gateway heavy armies CAN do fine mid game against bio(with heavy upgrades), but with the "meta"-style that grubby was playing, i.e. turtling/allowing dde to be the aggressor, he would have been much better suited going robo. Blink stalkers are not in their element defending against heavy marauder builds as their mobility does not play as much of a role in those kinds of confrontations.

Please don't post irrelevant macros.
support Lan ...?
I think (and I may be wrong since I don't have expertise in this area) what's happening is that the internet at the venue is having to support both outgoing streams and lots of people playing on Battle.net and it can't handle the load. If there was LAN, then all of the bandwidth could be channeled into streams instead. I THINK this is what's going on. But I'm just talking out of my ass here.
My guess also! | ||

As i stated before in this thread, this has happened every time I've watched MLG and I've also followed it for years ![]()

Every MLG SC2 event so far has been a disaster one way or another due mostly to their own ineptitude. That qualifies as consistently. Go away.

WHY is there a 30 minute down time between games? Every single time a series finishes, theres a 30 minute wait, usually resulting in a stream crash and another hour wait... Can't they have another series lined up for when one finishes?
