I think Blizzard should invest in a tournament team that will provide infrastructure for tournaments for licensing fees and costs... I think it's not only a great idea, but one that could be entirely fruitful for them considering that they can essentially back their own game. I think they're fearful of doing it, as it would show how weak they would be versus someone else.

I think (and I may be wrong since I don't have expertise in this area) what's happening is that the internet at the venue is having to support both outgoing streams and lots of people playing on Battle.net and it can't handle the load.

If there was LAN, then all of the bandwidth could be channeled into streams instead.

I THINK this is what's going on. But I'm just talking out of my ass here.
