don't get me wrong, these delays and errors are inexcusable. but if you really think MLG has consistently been ill-prepared, you are seriously mistaken. other then some minor hiccups every once in a while, this is the first time I've seen things go this wrong with MLG in years. literally.
I didn't know MLG employees have time browse the site while at an event like this. Don't they have things to do?

TL has really showed great patience and stood back during all of this, I can't think of all the mods who were so angered by the 100+ pages of whines, but let it slide because of the problem. There's a time for everything.

These unannounced half arsed commercial breaks. I don't see it in any other sport or from things I've watch e-sport. There's always a set time when there would be a commercial break like at, Half time, after a match, or when a big game ended. But with MLG a game ends and you can hear the commercial music coming on and DJWheat and JP are like "shit shit wrap it up don't get cut off".
Honestly it's right in the middle of analysis and other things, there is no set time for MLG it's whenever the drunk guy with the 'GO TO COMMERCIAL' button decides to pass out and hit it. It annoys me too, in Europe we have set times for adverts, but this is my only experience of an American 'sporting event' apart from the Super Bowl this year and as far as I can tell they just shove adverts in wherever they can. Hell American Football and Baseball are basically designed to incorporate regular adverts, maybe this lag is intended so they can fit more adverts in. It wouldn't be so bad if MLG was still sponsored by Old Spice. At least then we could be watching the 'I'm on a horse' advert and I wouldn't feel like I was wasting my time. Yep that's why Soccer (Football) isn't televised here much in the US because they can't make enough money off of advertisements. It's funny when ever I'd go to my colleges football games they would take media timeouts...which make sense now because all they're doing is showing commercials.
It has nothing to do with the abysmally low popularity of the sport in the US. Lacrosse has a similar pace and get's more air time due to it's increasing popularity at the college level.

Anyone from Dallas area who can connect to bnet to check wether or not it lags? They say it's the reason, some ISP in dallas can't connect properly to bnet, is that really possible?

You obviously never watched any of their WoW tournaments.

Uhhh I've been watching MLG WoW stuff for a few years as well and stuff never starts on time and they always have problems. Not sure what you're talking about.

Its not even the first time in the same city... what are you referring to exactly? i'm speaking moreso from a halo players perspective. they have been running this tournament for years and it's been reliable, efficient, and has done a TON for that community. i love SC as well, but i don't like how the organization is being bashed to a pulp when it has definitely earned its credibility if you have tried watching more than a few events.

I think Blizzard should invest in a tournament team that will provide infrastructure for tournaments for licensing fees and costs... I think it's not only a great idea, but one that could be entirely fruitful for them considering that they can essentially back their own game. I think they're fearful of doing it, as it would show how weak they would be versus someone else.
That's what I'm thinking as well. Why don't they just provide a version of the game that connects to an "MLG Dallas" zone, with the servers under lock and key in the venue.

Every single time a series finishes, theres a 30 minute wait, usually resulting in a stream crash and another hour wait...
Can't they have another series lined up for when one finishes? 30 minute? try 3 hours.

For starters, a stream that works would be fine. TSL3 could handle 50-60k+ ... how many do they have? Millions?
Its like opening a restaurant with 2 tables, and saying "we didnt expect any customers..."

Hey guys I just found out about the MLG stream today. Anyway the calendar says it's up but when I click on the "CLICK TO PLAY" button for MLG video player, it'll say LIVE but I don't see anything, just a black background. So are the games still going on or what??
