I don't see what's so special about TT1's win that everyone is seeing. He won because he blind countered the banshees. If NaDa went anything else tt1 would be behind. It was Rock Paper Scissors decision.

TT1 had an expo up while Nada didn't, he would also have plenty of advance warning due to long distance of the map. Also to assume TT1 blind countered banshees when he could just watch Nada's vods and examined his playstyle that Nada favors banshees pretty heavily. He not outplayed Nada but did it very carefully to maintain his advantage.

This... How the fuck is getting a forge and cannons "blind countering" banshees? It's just another option rather than getting a fast obs out. Nobody would say he "blind countered" banshees if he went 2 gate->nexus->robo, but somehow getting a forge for upgrades he wants anyway and dealing with banshees by getting cannons is a blind counter.

I think he said "blind counter" because he built the canons, but imo that's just good prediction by TT1.

And TT1 train a lot more than NaDa, I find it totally normal.

Oh COME ON. How do you even know that? -_-

It's pretty well known that NaDa doesn't train that much because he's trying to do well in college.

Maybe, but team world still has most of its best players left. And I think Jinro has an overall winning record against him on stage.

Such exciting games - heck of a way to open the World Championship, and even the Korean team seemed happy that the foreigners had a good run today .

TTone really impressed me today - he played as well as he could against the blunder of not spotting that hidden pylon on Scrap Station, then made some excellent decisions in his game vs Nada.

Morrow played so well too, I feel as though he was on the cusp of winning that game if only he hadn't build THAT many Drones and made so many Corruptors. To me, that was the difference between a win and a loss.

Sen, of course, played amazingly. Ah heck, ALL the foreigners really impressed me today, despite having to travel to Korea, they seem to be in fantastic shape.

I don't think so. At least not until very recently if it indeed is true. NaDa has a lot more training in his mechanics flowing from his BW days too though. The game was decided on a mismicro by NaDa and a strong hold by TT1 in the subsequent all-in. There wasn't anything in the game to show that NaDa trained less than TT1.

TT1 played well. He should have lost against San, but San over extended and TT1 clutched up.

I have no idea what Nada was doing. Just got outplayed. He has probably never seen TT1 till today's games.

Someone like TT1 can potentially be more dangerous than Jinro/Huk just because of the unknown factor. I'm pretty sure no one on the Korean team who is playing has checked out the guy's replays.

Let's stop the discussion of lag in TSL, it's getting really tiring the whine about everything... just enjoy the great show we got to see today and gonna see tomorrow when world win 8-7.

1. There was lag in TSL and it had effect on the games.

2. World team played well today and won fair and square.

Just because world team is playing well today and winning fair and square doesn't make TSL any better. TSL still has lag issues and the shadow doesn't disappear because world team is playing well in an offline tournament.

There were a lot of people in the thread saying there's no way foreigners can beat Koreans and lag was the only reason. However, it's pretty clear that big deciding factor is who actually practices / prepares more and plays better in the game.

I'm happy today's results showed that. You don't think if Anypro 4-0's the World team that you and many others would be posting "see what happens when theres no lag!?!?!?!" and not considering that it's possible for top players to drop games?

Nobody has a perfect viewpoint.

PS - Nada banshee control was better vs TLO :p

Yes i agree with you. But there are also people who tried to justify it this way

1. in TSL, Koreans lose to foreigners
2. Today, Koreans lose to foreigners also

Therefore, in TSL there is no lag.

Which is such a flawed and screwed up logic.

I think both sides are extremely annoying and i hope people will stop talking about lag. Today's LR were fun before people were bringing up lag issues in an attempt to justify themselves ( or to be witty)
