I do know they commented specifically about the first series though I wasn't paying attention 100% of the time. I guess the easiest way to know exactly what they said is to wait for the vods.

No one cares if you think that someone is bad, if the one is winning tournaments left and right and defeating all top players (especially in TvT). I would bet on Goody in every TvT in the GSL, because you can't drop him and you can't play with mass marines against him and that's what all Koreans are doing right now. He also showed that he can take down the best Zerg players. Goody. Beating "all top players". in GSL. Look at this statistically, he has accomplished next to nothing before this tournament. He has yet to prove that he's not just some outlying statistic. Quick to jump on the bandwagon much.

When to macro, when to tech and when to attack, controlling space + fight micro make up the difference, ret did fail pretty much in these areas. I think pure macro play for Z is not the way to go. Additionally i'd have expected Ret to take advantage of the infestor buff. His timing to make units was perfect - maybe 15 seconds earlier would be better. The big thing was, he made the wrong units. I think a similiar style to what he did in game 1 would be a lot better if it was zergling/baneling with banelings drops.

The fact that he can win with good strategies and decisionmaking even tho his mechanics are horrible just makes him such a great player and I love watching him for ingenious moves like in game 3. What ingenious move? He sat next to Nestea's natural and watched Nestea suicide roaches and lings into tank lines.....

It's weird. | ||

Seems to to me 90% of the time a zerg loses it's cause they have been making only drones and then suddenly they are like "Oh shit my opponent has an army 20 minutes into the game? How should I have predicted this?" *dies* Yea. Especially Nestea, he gets hyped so much as the best zerg but honestly half his games lately he loses to a 1 or 2 base early push cause he doesnt make spincrawlers or an army like he just expects his opponent not to attack him. I've seen zergs who play safely and can still macro well enough to keep up or pull ahead so I dont get why some of these zergs act like they need to play so greedy.

On paper yes, zerg seem to have an advantage expanding like crazy on big maps because of how easy they can produce drones, but the 200 supply cap really crimps the zerg army and forces them to either bank resources or over invest in upgrades. Be interesting to see how Idra varies his zerg vs toss style compared to the other zerg players. Unlike other zergs, Idra KNOWS the power of hydras vs pretty much everything toss has except colossi. And if toss goes mass colossi, they are very vulnerable to mass corrupters or broodlords, and have difficultly affording the +2 upgrades, stargates, blink/charge/dts, mass stalkers... Zerg (despite their complaints) wants to see mass colossi/stalker because it is so cost ineffective and very difficult for toss to tech switch out of.

Results speak much louder than anything else you can come up with so I would refrain from brushing him off so easily.
