Was todays games on 1.2 or 1.3 patch? I thought they were played on 1.2 but friend says 1.3. probably 1.3 since they hosted the rep via multiplayer I believe O_O It was 1.3 according to the casters at the start of the stream. At least the first serie was on 1.3. They didn't mentioned it for the other games as far as I know.
Yes, they mentioned at the start that all the games casted today would be on patch 1.3.

It's not like it matters why the zerg lost usually.

went 0-4 today on liquibet... but totally worth it, excellent series all day! can't wait to see waht tomorrow will bring

Wow, all the predictions blew up

Overall I'm most impressed with adelscott and qxc's play. I really didn't think of these players as really good players until today. qxc wowed me with really nice multitask along with everything else and adelscott chose his battles well and had good decision making.
I've been a fan of ret since forever (5-6 years +) and I always want him to do really well but it seems he's not quite there yet. I'm a bit disappointed, but I'll continue to expect good things from him in the future.
Goody also played well but I feel like nestea would win most series following that (despite making a bad decision in the 3rd set).

I can't understand why everyone is shocked that Zerg's are losing to weaker players. Hasn't this been the case for the majority of tournaments since release?
You are all shocked that Nestea lost to mech and ret lost to mass stalker? Honestly? The most shocking thing by far is that morrow beat jinro, nothing can come close to that.
"Ret can be really really good but Naniwa is decent and its PvZ so that should be a pretty close matchup."

pretty much sums it up for me

"low tier amateur"
Sure he dosnt have perfect macro, but his decision making is absolutely excellent. You think the low tier amateur just had luck this last week when he got teamliquid "tournament king" achievement?!
This was just another impressive performance by Goody.
Goody made bad decisions in his series, Nestea just made worse ones. His macro is not just "not perfect", it's atrocious, and he's admitted that he needs to work on it.

Hey guys, this thread is about the games, not about lag, or flaming players or other people's opinions!

No that is called luck, Goody would lose first round in Code A 9 out of 10 times.
cloud is one of the best terrans in the EU, propably the world, and he has a loss-streak of 0:14 against goody. so its not only "getting used to goodys style" and "learning to play against mech". goody can play.

I really believe that the proposed skill gap between the Koreans and the world is much smaller than many of us perceive.
Also a lot of relatively unknown players are grinding their way through TSL qualifiers and GSL code A ready to make a splash on the scene and take over some of the over-rated players.

A one trick pony who is top 4 in like 50% of European weekly tournaments and has (arguably) the best TvT in Europe.
Haters gonna hate.
The fact that he can win with good strategies and decisionmaking even tho his mechanics are horrible just makes him such a great player and I love watching him for ingenious moves like in game 3.
