SlayerS has really solid Terran players, but not really much of the other races. I guess min is the best Zerg and Frozen the best Protoss, but they are really depending a lot on MMA/Ryung. We haven't seen THAT much of Frozen, since both of his games were against MC and July lol. MMA is going to have to step up again, and Ryung needs to be on top of his game as well, but I think they can do it!

If SlayerS win this GSTL then Boxer's new documentary episode will be full of drama.

curious? he is the ST guy. You mean Min right?

I think Ryung could give MVP a run for his money in a TvT. Ryung took out one of the best macro terrans (TOP). Also, I believe Min has a lot left to show after his early exit against TOP (still a great game though).

Alicia and Losira are the X factors. We know MVP and Nestea will be solid and win at least two games. Thus, it will come down to Losira and Alicia taking down some of the top players and getting at least two wins for their respective teams.

I wonder who will go first...so strategic!

Rooting for slayers, but feeling that the way IM has been destroying the GSTL so far + Show Spoiler +
4-0, 4-1, and only MvP and arguably #2 Zerg LosirA used
makes me feel IM should take this, perhaps in lopsided fashion.

SlayerS should for sure lead with Ryung or Min. They basically NEED to match MMA on Nestea/Losira and Alicia on MVP, so leading with either of those two is suicide.

Just logged into Kr Server...the 1.3 patch has been downloaded. So I believe this means we the KA nerf and infestor buff is going to go live for GSTL!!! Should be very interesting now.

Korea is still down though.

Best SlayerS protoss is Alicia and he's in Code S!

He defeated IMJunwi 2-0, Noblesse aka CutefOu 2-0, TSL_Rain 2-0, lost against oGsSuperNova 0-2 and defeated IMMvp in Up-Down matches 2-1

also beat ST_Ace and ST_Squirtle in Zotac Team Invitational

Man, I love the SlayerS up and comers as much as everyone else, and I'll be happy to see them win also to prove that being a team is more than just having Super Code S aces (Looks at oGs for a long time).

However, I think IM is building itself a very powerful trio with Nestea, MVP and Losira. Sure, MVP and Nestea weren't dominant in March as they were in January, and sure Losira only just cracked Code S, but they are still 3 people that will most likely need dedicated snipes. oGs only had one or two big snipes (MC obviously, probably Nada oh wait they used Supernova, lol free win), and ST had 2 major snipes (July and Rainbow. Oh wait, they used curious lol free win).

I expect IM will lead with Nestea or Losira. By leading with a powerful Zerg, they force SlayerS to bring out a Zerg sniper very early, limiting their options should the other Zerg be saved to later rounds. On the other hand, Cella should see this coming and open with someone with a strong vZ matchup.

I expect this Bo9 to go to later rounds, whether we'll see all 9 again? Who knows. I do hope we see some non-Big 3 IM players though. Been missing Seed and Yongwha =(

EDIT: Just realised that IM could potentially open with Junwi? Throw the potential of 3 zergs against SlayerS, who seem to be prominately good versus Terran (Alicia and Ryung certified terran killers).
Mvp - Leenock - Dongraegu - MC - Gumiho - Keen - Polt - Squirtle - Jjakji - Genius - Seed - Life - sC - Dream || LG-IM - MVP - FXO

omg this will be so epic....
hope i can see ganzo and alicia finally....ganzo the god of multitask....i would let him play at the beginning so there is a chance he can snipe losira or nestea (altough nestea would be quite an upset)
and when mvp takes him down, alicia will come and punch him in his face:D ....
but there are sooo many ways it could go today.....so excited.....

yes they have gsl and tsl... i lost a lot betting on ogs v slayers... thought slayers had probably ~10% chance to win and the line was like 1.2 for ogs

Alicia is far and away the best Protoss in SlayerS.

SlayerS is definitely the underdog in this final, but i expect it to be pretty close and competitive. We've seen tht SlayerS has some really talented players, and they definitely have a chance. Hoping it goes the distance like last finals.

I think if IM brings their A-game there is no way SlayerS will win. They have some really good upcoming players but nearly every player in IM that has played in the GSTL so far is just completely solid. I picture if it goes to a best of 9 i would bet that Nestea and Losira will be the last 2 considering they are known as IM's "ace" players and with Losira doing so well thus far and basically dominating into Code-S i don't see him losing except to maybe MMA's all-in like how he beat MC. Im hoping for a repeat of last year and IM taking the gold but if they come unprepared like last time SlayerS can come up with the win.

I predict:

SlayerS_Boxer showing mad skills, all killing IM team.

(oh god, who WOULD'NT want to see that???)

Bo9 scares me a bit, as it might not be as close. Then again, it means more players and more chance of Boxer!

Sorry, you're right, I meant Min! (:

SlayerS have a lot more viable options than IM, it seems. Whether they'll be able to exploit this remains to be seen.

If anything, SlayerS WILL be the team thats able to best exploit its vast lineup of players. We saw how oGs hasn't really figured that out, and gets knocked out both times becuase they couldn't put the proper lineup of players out.
