or it may just be bias for losira 'cause he's so good and/or zerg
i thought at least game 1 was definitely worthy of recommendation, nova made some sweet moves (those bunkers won him the game baby, that was one of the sweetest positional moves this season), and simply outplayed losira, who also played well, but misjudged his attack on nova's offensive position
anyway, awesome finals, both these guys deserve to be in code s

Anyone see some huge flaws in this group picking thing?
Out of Losira's group, Losira and Undeserving Player #1 will advance, while in Huk/Leenock's group, all three are miles better but one won't advance....

I dont think group E is getting enough love here

They have to pick one 3rd place player and one 4th place player. Over time I think this means that more often than not it isn't that bad of a format, only in the first few rounds of up and down.

Nice, if you look at recommended games, all the voted No are when terran win.

This guy actually has a good point. The system is designed to benefit the top two from Code A, but in some ways it also indirectly benefits the guys who are "bad but not the worst" because they get put in a group with an even weaker player, whereas if it was done randomly then they would probably be put with two players who are better than them.
There's nothing you can really do about it though, and I don't think it's a huge deal considering we don't even know how "good" a lot of the players really are. It's not gonna be a huge travesty if Rainbow and Polt/TheBest manage to stay in Code S for another season. Also, choosing opponents can backfire on you if you pick someone "bad" only to have them turn around and knock you out *coughSancough* =/
The only groups where one deserving player is guaranteed to be shut out are B and perhaps E. In all the other groups there is at least one player who is overhyped/has been performing poorly/didn't deserve Code S in the first place.

Actually I really like this group picking thing. Generally the most undeserving players will be 4th in their group and they have to pick a 3rd and a 4th. What this does very well, though, is give the top 2 players from code A the best chance to get in, and helps to avoid a really poor Code S player from scraping through every round because they luck out and get the 8th seeded Code A player every round.
In the worst case, Losira and Undeserving Player #1 will make it through, but Undeserving Player #1 will get 4th place and will be picked by the strongest Code A player again.
Basically, this method has a good chance of pushing the 2 worst players in Code S down into Code A.

Goddamn, Group B and Group E. All those dude belong in Code S.

Anyone have any idea who the really really cute girl at the beginning of match 4??? I literally had to back up and look at her again. Soooo insanely cute!

I'm going to go ahead and guess you missed the Zel Naga game? Dude, I dont know what you want, but Supernova could'nt have had a larger advantage, yet, Zerg came back and stomped him.

Damn I wanted SuperNova to win (Liquibet) but Losira's a good player and I'm glad that he win. LOL at the groups, poor Leenock.

The whole series is really good. It's not biased at all.
However, I was rooting for SuperNoVa from the off set, but by the end of the series I was jumping up and down cheering Losira on.
Bottom line, no.

Almost every terran push was killed because of late sieging. This series was so frustrating to watch from that perspective. Losira definitely deserved the win. I've been a huge fan of mixing in roaches with typical muta/ling/bling for a long time.
Edit: And the 2 port banshee game on Xel'Naga--if Supernova had just camped his banshees over that natural that he saw rebuilding, he would have delayed it forever. In fact, he could have just kept building banshees and won. But he let the spore crawlers build and the natural re-build. SO frustrating. Sorry to root against IM, but I'd rather not see players choke against IM just because it's IM.

Just saw that game, and supernova threw that game away sooooo bad :[ was sad to watch him snarf it up from that position.

Could also be that the games were oh I don't know, bad?

Groups B C and E look rather tough. Especially compared to G and H.

While supernova played pretty well, I don't think he is code s material. Too many times he failed to split his marines, even when he knew banelings were coming. Failing to even pre-split his marines cost him many battles, and ultimately the series. Moreso than late sieging of his tanks. The true code s terrans all have marine split micro and I think this sets them apart.
It was pretty amusing to see roaches and banelings walk through 10 siege tanks and 5 bunkers, though. Is it even possible to be more fortified than that?

But on the otherhand, Losira and Supernova, two very great players, have a big chance of advancing into Code S now.

Idk Losira but he's good, really know how to use roaches against Protoss(HuK) or Terran
