The problem is that Protoss is unbelievably strong on these larger maps with much safer expos. Terrans early game advantage just simply doesn't exist on GSL maps, which the game isn't balanced towards. Terrans (and Zergs) very late games just don't compare at all to Protoss late game. TvZs are still looking surprisingly good though. Maybe amulet removal will help on these maps.
im confused at the random outburst of idra criticism. the guy is so good, theres not a better player on the planet when it comes to long multi-task heavy macro games - some of the subtle defense timings hes worked out are amazing. if you compare him to any other foreigner they come off as inferior in every aspect macrowise, including jinro, ret - i dont mean to brown nose or fanboy too much but some of the criticism is a joke and obviously comes from people who really dont know what they are talking about.

Ohh, FoV He was really good. But he never won anything because orc>>>>>ud.
So True ..... FoV was actually demolishing LyN this entire game, I was watching it live and cheering on my favorite Undead.(at the time) Unfortunately triple Crit strike is all it takes on your DK and it's over. Sort of like this Game 2, one mistake with your army in the middle, and Lyn will critical you. GG!

Lyn esnared and was focusing FoV's 3rd hero (Crypt Lord), so FoV passed his Town Portal scroll over and uses it on his Crypt lord, saving it. (TP scroll makes the hero that uses it, invulnerable and teleports any units in a radius near it to your highest teched main base). Lyn then uses an invulnerability pot on his Blademaster so it doesn't get nuked and right-clicks the Deathknight of FoV. BM crits it 3x in a row, right before the portal goes off. Ending the game. (It's only 15% chance per attack or something low to critical.)
That's just luck, isn't it?
Actually, most wc3 people believe that crit chance is higher than 15%. It occurs very often. I think Blizzard programmers made some mistake in their calculations.
No one is saying Idra is a bad player. He just isn't as good as the other Code S Zergs mainly thanks to his insanely predicable playstyle and unwillingness to react to his opponents. And Jinro is definitely a step above.

I also wonder, how do they practice their games besides ladder? With friends? WeMadeFOX doesn't have an SC2 team, only having their BW team due to their affiliation with KeSPA. Lyn and Moon seem to be overall great progamers for their ability to be so strong despite having less practice resources and time compared to other SC2 progamers on actual SC2 teams.
Lyn mentioned in his interview that they aren't getting as much feedback or practice partners as other teams. Since there are only two official SC2 progamers for Fox :[ Some of thier friends help them out, but they will never get an in-depth analyzation of matches or opponents, or practice opportunities. So yeah. Basically no team, practicing sc2 and wc3, they are putting a great effort to go through SC2 scene.

IdrA is easily top 8 in Code S. I consider him better than Jinro, eventhough Jinro had better results. Which I think is due to bad maps.
