I feel that that is deep. He was beat by MVP in last season 3-0 and Rainbow in GSL 1. He failed to qualify for 2 and 3 yes. Round of 16 this time - say what you want about the quality of his opponent but those are deep rounds. I mean, look at Idra, a great player - a top 3 Zerg (arguably?) and his GSL runs are no more impressive. There are tons of good players who don't win, it's a tournament.
I've 100% believed that Idra is by far the worst Code S zerg for the longest time. I honestly don't know how he gets lucky breaks so often, he has the worst reactionary play of anyone and does the same thing every game. It's really sad because his macro and micro is great.
Ok, you've lost all credibility. If you think he's worse than Zenio, Thewind or Check... Idk what to say honestly.
...Zenio is a very strong player.
...And IdrA's better.
Zenio directly beat Idra 2-0 in their GSL face-off. But you have a point about Check <_<
Wasn't that in GSL2, when the ZvZ was weaker than his other mu's? IdrA would've destroyed Byun and Clide definitely this season, if he didn't die lol.
i think he wouldve beaten clide but lost to byun
Tht's arugable. Byun's TvZ is very good but its also very predictable. If Idra did his homework he would be able to abuse tht, i believe thts wat Losira did to Byun.

So True ..... FoV was actually demolishing LyN this entire game, I was watching it live and cheering on my favorite Undead.(at the time) Unfortunately triple Crit strike is all it takes on your DK and it's over. Sort of like this Game 2, one mistake with your army in the middle, and Lyn will critical you. GG!
Lyn esnared and was focusing FoV's 3rd hero (Crypt Lord), so FoV passed his Town Portal scroll over and uses it on his Crypt lord, saving it. (TP scroll makes the hero that uses it, invulnerable and teleports any units in a radius near it to your highest teched main base). Lyn then uses an invulnerability pot on his Blademaster so it doesn't get nuked and right-clicks the Deathknight of FoV. BM crits it 3x in a row, right before the portal goes off. Ending the game. (It's only 15% chance per attack or something low to critical.)

He beat him when he was terrible at ZvZ, that was quite a long time ago.
Most of them are close in skill - although Idra does have his weaknesses, he more than makes up for it in his strengths.
The only improvement Idra made is making excuses about imbalance, he was dominated in IEM
Zenio's a good player, I don't believe anybody with a bit of sense has argued differently.
To be fair Idra carved through all the non-Koreans at IEM and almost topped Squirtle, he's a very strong player even if his ZvP is quite weak right now. It's not like Zergs are having much success against Protoss in the GSL either.
Idra is strong, but my point stands, he hasn't improved at all compared to everyone else. And as everyone is pointing out, he is dangerously predictable.

Idra's ZvZ is way better than it was in GSL2. He considers it his best MU now.
And 3-2 isn't exactly a domination IMO. Not to mention he tore thru his group, even 2-0ing White-ra

There was so many terrans, and like all of them got knocked out besides 3.. I wouldnt really count it as balanced IMO.. In a sense if theres more terran players as a whole. there should be more in the top8.. am I wrong here? Still cool regardless I guess

That's just luck, isn't it?
Yes, and that's why SC2 is huge and WC3 no longer exists in the pro scene.
I saw a picture story where someone compared the prices of blank CDs and paper plates and discovered the CDs were actually cheaper per unit. The final image was of a slice of cake being eaten off a CD.
Anypro cockblocks the natural, but Kyrix just takes the third. Anypro Forge FE-ing, but he builds the Forge so that it finishes before the pool even starts. Little fast.

Yes, it is (chance = 0.003375). That's why I don't understand why people regard it as a great achievement by Lyn.

Until some tvz mu where close spawn location in meta, lost temples, and delta quads. :D

IdrA felt like he was playing scared, never daring to fast Hatch in most of those games when Protoss when fast expand.

Lol i won't argue with tht comment cos it is essentially true. But Byun's TvZ build is ridulously the same every time he does it without deviation at all. It is extremely refined but if ur know wat ur facing, i'm sure Idra would be able to counter it like Losira did.
