This thread is for discussing the games, not crying about balance. Thanks. |

I think he missed the most important part of the game in which ret didnt pay attention and lost all his infestors and banelings when he counter attacked and didn't pay attention enough.
After that all he has left was 100 lings and a few mutas or so which is useless of course.

I don't get why everybody is so surprised by the result of that last battle...
Ret sends like 15 mutas to kill 10 supply of medivac+marines, so Jjob then drops the main, where the pool was behind the mineral line, making it instantly die. Ret runs slings and blings into a lot of tanks outside of his base, they all die since there's no mutas attacking the tanks. People complaining about balance in that battle are just wrong.

This is true and its also the reason why Ret has underachieved considering his talent. His mechanics are amazing but sometimes his decision making at the crucial moments lets him down. U could say tht happened in both games.

Something the observer missed in that battle, is when the marines were pushing forward, and the infestors fungaled, above the army Ret's mutalisks were attacking marines. He literally lost like 20-30 of them to the marine ball, he probably forgot about them while microing at the front.

To all the people who say 'Zerg qq Ret just got outplayed', what are you going to say when the top 8 of both Code A and Code S are both Terran? What do you say about the ridiculous tournament results that show Zerg pretty much never win?
This game is broken.

I find it so confusing that huk is the only foreigner to advance into Ro16 seriously... as much as I hate to say it Ret, Moonglade, and Haypro all choked IMO TBH.. yes they played good games but I feel they made way too many mistakes... as a zerg player whenever zerg lose i always blame balance 100% but during this Code A I just cant the above three could have played better...

Finally, pvz. At least this match up's more balanced to watch. glhf to the two players.

In the battle yes, completely mishandled, very bad control, terrible engagement, but he did out macro him, there's no doubt about that. you can macro all you want but when you dont set up any flanks and let the terran walk up and siege half your units and THEN attack him with mass ling muta while hes already stimmed in your choke, then yea your macro doesn't matter
Yes....how is that different from what I said?

Also, comparing foods when one player has mostly zerglings is silly.

Losing your AOE units against marine/tank w/o killing any of the terrans doodz =/= macro loss.

The irrationality of zerg players/supporters never cease to amaze me. I propose a solution, that Blizzard remove the zerg race from the game, and that all these people jump off a cliff, that way we can once again be a happy and harmonious community. Without all the whining.

Ret played FLAWLESSLY that game without even losing an expansion. His upgrades were 2-1 at the final push. Yet he loses.
Objective analysis of that game much welcomed.
Massive overmins, 100 supply Zerglings, no drones left, Queens with full mana, no Hive units, lost infestors without doing any notable damage with them. Flawless indeed.
Still, i'm so sad for Ret. I really wanted to see him do well this season

fair enough, i understand your point well. i think blind imba is annoying too and far too common.
with rets game i think he made 1 mistake after being so far ahead (infestors being sniped during the last battle). which is a damn shame and just goes with the saying that zerg has to play closer to perfection compared to the other races.

Ret had no army.
There you go, objective analysis.

Well, not according to pretty much any Zerg.

Ret deserved to lose both games there. First game he was outclassed completly.
Second game he lost it for himself, you deserve to lose an entire army if you micro that poorly and have next to no unit control.
