Yup Wait can you explain that please? For the Ro16, Group A and B will play eachother. Clide, Byun, MC, and July will be the next group. There's no groups next round--goes straight to a playoff bracket. Correct. My mistake.

Yes RO16 onwards will be elimination/playoff format not group format.

I assume you are implying that MC is the tougher matchup? IMMVP might disagree that July's ZvT is a good prize for winning.

Its ruining my enjoyment of the games because I'm so worried about the poor guy....Just call up Torch and be like, "flame on! Get your ass over here!". Seriously, thats no place for a guy in his shape to be so you honestly think that neither artosis himself or the people around him, his own friends, dont know better than you two and if it really was that bad that they hadnt gotten him out of there? that is pretty hilarious. In other words, relax

Zenio basically has to win twice to advance, while Clide has to win once because he got defwin from Idra, and Zenio didn't. That is extremely unfair for Zenio. Also whoever wins Code A, they can pick Idra for their group and automatically advance to Code S.... Idra said he told GSL even before the group picks and they didn't do antyhing about it... very stupid, it compromises the whole tournament. No. All three players get a slightly easier path out of their group. No one is unfairly disadvantaged by Idra leaving. Let's run through a few scenarios: Clide beats Zenio. Now we have two 2-0 players and it's obvious that Zenio should not advance since he lost to both players. No problem here. Byun and Clide play to determine 1st/2nd and we move on. Or, Zenio beats Clide. Now we have: Byun 2-0 Zenio 1-1 Clide 1-1 Idra 0-2 Now, Zenio has to beat Clide again, but that's no different than, say, if Idra was in the group and had lost to Clide. So Clide has an easier time to advance because he got the freewin, and Byun has an easier time to advance because he got the freewin after beating Zenio. It seems unfair to Zenio because he has to beat Clide twice, but, again, it's not anything he wouldn't have to do if the group was full. Yea makes sense, still sucks imo, they should have replaced him, he said he gave them more than enough notice to run a small tourny like with LiveForever(I think)

Winner plays July, Loser plays MC. I'm fairly certain the RO16 uses standard brackets this time, instead of group play.

Last game was a lot better but it was also a perfect showcase for why all zergs tend to go bling muta all game long IMO. I think TvZ is the least interesting and dynamic matchup, with the least units fully utilised, including the mirror matchups. I personally love it. Mind though that both terran and zerg have options to "counter" those combos with other units, such as hellion/thor and infestor. I think the more interesting question is "why don't they?".

Protoss matchups are by far the most entertaining to watch because of the vast amount of strategies and unit combinations possible. Lack of viable zerg units and the power of the marine is really hurting the other matchups entertainment wise.
