Let me guess, you just typed sqrt( ) into Google and then copy-and-pasted a description of the function for some programming language. That doesn't mean sqrt(a) doesn't exist if a is a negative number. It's perfectly acceptable to say that i = sqrt(-1). Earlier programming languages may lack a built-in complex number class, but that doesn't mean it's mathematically incorrect. It should be noted that mathematically, sqrt is not a function at all since there are two square roots to any number, but we are just writing it out like a function because that's a lot easier than using the radical symbol. Off-topic but I would say you're wrong. Of course there's no single one math book to go look at for "the correct answer". But by common convention mathematicians never write sqrt and a negative number.

Winning one tournament doesn't mean you are auto-qualified for the rest of your life. Being good in the past can't guarantee your job in the future. Tasteless is a fun, likable esport character who has contributed a lot to the development of the scene and all that, but his recent poor performance still deserves some criticisms, even more now that: - We, SC fans, are actually paying to see him casting. - Good Starcraft commentators are not a rare thing like it used to be a few years back. There are just so many basement commentators out there who have showed massive amount of passion and effort into getting good at the job, and would literally KILL to have the opportunity that Tasteless' enjoying for once. - We are at the dawn of a new era in esport. The advance of the game and the progaming scene in the West is heavily relied on the people who are carrying the flag right now. Back in the SCBW GOM Classic days, if Tasteless screwed up it would hardly hurt anything. Today there are just so much more potential, hope and investment dollars at stakes. Tasteless can't treat his job like a hobby anymore (but for some reason it looks like he still does). I don't get to listen to GSL Korean commentary except for the brief moments before an important match when they showed some highlights of the players' previous games in Korean casting. What struck me was the level of excitement - it was so much higher than the English cast, their voices hyped me so much and I don't even understand a Korean word. IMO the reason for that difference is simple and obvious - the Korean casters treat their job seriously. GSL is their career and GOM is their boss. Tasteless on the other hand never looks like he is working for GOM and is an integral part of GSL's success, but more like a backpacker who is just having fun in South Korea. I second this post. Like others in this thread, I started out watching Tasteless cast the GOM Classic. Back then, he was original/informative/entertaining. Now though... Now, I would say he's only marginally entertaining, at best. The originality and information that could once be attributed to Tasteless' commentaries are simply no longer there. All that's left is the occasional lame joke found in a sea of dull product placement and player introductions. Hardly something that I would classify as entertaining. It's sad to see such decline in quality, but such things happen. I, for one, would not mind him being replaced. And, as the casts go on, I'm actually hoping that replacement comes sooner rather than later. One of the main--and only--reasons I watch this now is because of Artosis. The guy is everything Tasteless used to be, and then some. Hell, his casts are generally so well-rounded, he could probably shoulder the 5 hour casting burden by himself!

He needs a break from the constant casting career and get more into the game itself, but people don't always get their wish.

Artosis is much deeper in the game and makes Tasteless almost seem retarded with the jokes about the Tasteless build. Tasteless shoud be replaced in my opinion, he isn't even funny. He just repeats every Artosis jokes when they are no longer surprising and funny.

In terms of the commenting, I agree that Tasteless is really, really getting carried by Artosis, increasingly so. He gets the name of the players wrong on a regular basis, misses very important stuff like expansions going up, calls games way too early, calls everything an all-in, confuses builds and invents trends for players out of thin air (something day9 does as well...). I can absolutely see though how it must be terribly hard to comment game after game while staying entertaining and insightful, and I think that hiring new commenters for code A will hopefully allow Tasteless to come into Code S commentary fresher and more focused.

An apt way to end for a strategy that shaped PvZ for so nearly 6 months now. I was annoyed when I saw Tester do the pylon block today, but after reading your post, my opinion has changed. How could I have forgot the brilliance/shock that was running through everyone's heads (including IdrA I assume) when he pulled it off in the beta. I am a protoss player and I feel that strategy is very strong and abusive, and I do hope that tester really did the last pylon block ever. But I have a feeling that using 3 pylons might still put the protoss ahead on some maps.

He was just quite unlucky, his ideas were absolutely brilliant, just these little details didn`t work out.

He stops performing at his usual level. Now what you say to him is to gtfo because he is no longer good enough. Thats so heartless, you should be ashamed. Like really ashamed. Your opinion is absolutely retarded. I don`t mean to offend you but thats what I honestly think.

Math can only tell that the square root of -5 exists if youre looking at functions of real numbers which are displayed on the imaginary plane. matlab, wolfram and other mathematical languages usually return a result with the imaginary unit. c and c++ have dedicated functions only for real positivers numbers.

They were not longer the same dominant forces that they used to be. They are still respected, but it was time for them to step down. That's a more accurate parallel to Tasteless. Sure, this might be just a slump, but there really aren't any flashes of brilliance from him. He just doesn't seem to care as much about this game. There's no reason to get so riled up about his opinion. If anyone should be ashamed, it's you for overreacting and taking a personal shot at a guy for voicing an opinion that is shared by quite a few people.

Because Tastosis don't mention the patch, unless I missed it... Seems like something they would mention, since a lot of stuff has changed. Does anyone know? I don't think the patch was released in Korea yet
