I thought I had understood the format yesterday but now I'm confused again.

Someone made a post yesterday saying that if players win 2-0 then they are through and it's over. MVP and Zenio won 2-0, no? So why were more matches played other than possibly fruitdealer vs jook to settle the 3rd versus 4th place?

To settle first and second place.

Anyone notice that the VODs uploading is much slowly compared to the past seasons? New encoding format?

Fruitdealer made a post at PlayXP after the games. He said he practiced hard and his condition was good.

Well, but he lost so it just means that his opponents played better. I still think FD can do it again though he probably needs better practice partners.

Had MVP lost against Zenio, he would've played against Nestea, which is pretty much an autowin for him given his winrate against Zergs (and Nestea mentioned that MVP beats him at least 75% of the time).

Would've probably been better in his situation to lose against Zenio to avoid a TvT and instead play a TvZ, but it would seem rather selfish at the same time.

You probably don't want to snipe your team mate off a tournament like that.

CAn someone explain what the last game was for? I understand this is like the MSL format except theres an extra game to determine first and second place rather than just who advances, but won't the last game always be between two people who are knocked out regardless? Seems silly.

Also, FRUITDEALER D:

Now I'm curious to know where that info has been released. I haven't been up to date with GOM past christmas or so but I haven't seen any post on GOM (and forums) saying how the groups are arranged in the 2nd groupstage.

3rd place decider is to determine who gets 2 chances of staying in Code S. 4th place will only have 1 chance. Each chance / match is a Bo3 in the relegation matches.

Sadly, Clide is not good enough to train with. The only zerg with good practise partners are those in IM and Prime. Clide is certainly good, but against him fruitdealer will win battles that he'll lose against MVP or MK, so he could get a false sense of security imo. But I saw TSL recruited aLive, and he has a very strong vZ, it'll be good for fruitdealer. And with Tester and Sangho, aLive could become a monster.

I haven't seen how they are doing the 4 groups for the Ro16 either.

I would assume that there will be some sore or random placement, yet make it so there are 2 1st place and 2 2nd place in each group.

Someone tell me how I can contact Fruit Dealer so I can tell him to stop all-ining ;( His macro is what won him GSL1, far and away, and ever since his loss to MarineKing in GSL2, he's been in this slump where he doesn't want to play past 2 bases(or 1 most of the time for that matter -_-). He had soooooo much time to expand while Zenio was turtled up in his base, and he persisted with the nydus all-in.

Someone fucking tell him that
A) He sucks at all-ins
B) He's far better off(and more skilled) at playing macro games than going all-in
C) Zerg is the worst/weakest race possible to all-in with

I got nothing to say about that game vs MVP, I don't think any Zerg can win close position LT vs him, but there was no excuse for that game vs Zenio. I thought he was Idra's ZvZ practice partner and Idra's ZvZ has been ridiculously strong lately. Hasn't he been learning anything!?

FD is leaving a hole in my fruity heart http://www.carameldream.net/fruitheart.jpg
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

I still believe! But now my heart lies with NesTea and Zenio.
Time held me green and dying though I sang in my chains like the sea.

Well we knew this group would be hard, i think the bo1 is awful though, much more so than it is in BW, because SC2 is so much more RPS. Not that BW doesn't seem RPS at times, but SC2 makes a living off of it.
True skill comes without effort.
