Jinro takes game 1 with banshee harass taking queens followed up by a nice timed attack. Moon takes game 2 Xel'Naga with some pure roach play. Moon takes game 3 on Blistering Sands due to poor map for terran. Jinro tries to all-in to beat moon but moon holds it off.
EGIdra < Blistering Sands > IMmvp EGIdra < Steppes of War > IMmvp EGIdra < Metalopolis > IMmvp
IMmvp with 2 back to back all ins to stomp Idra. (I want Idra to win but really don't think he will.)
choyafOu < Steppes of War > CheckPrime.WE choyafOu < Delta Quadrant > CheckPrime.WE choyafOu < Xel'Naga Caverns > CheckPrime.WE
How much you want a bet we see some 6/7 pool action on game 1? Game 2 Check will just out macro Choya and take the win.
Man I hope Jinro will make it he clearly didn't have luck with the maps.. Concerning Boxer's match everyone seems to think he'll win easily but Polt isn't a 'nobody' he really impressed me in GSL1, it'll be hard for the Emperor imo although I'm heavily rooting for him

i hope jinro makes it, but that match could go either way. i'm not quite sure what to think of moon's play after ro64. while i'm a massive idra fanboy, i have my doubts about him going up against mvp. i regard mvp as one of the most fearsome terrans in the entire gsl and a definite ro8 contender, so it's going to be ridiculously tough for idra. at least he got some respectable maps i think check will take out choya 2-1, and i think boxer will take out polt 2-0
Really hating myself for counting IdrA out 0-2, but when he's disallowed to macro up (and he will) he crumbles.
Why would Check win on DQ? Thats really brutal maps for him.
Check is actually a player that i thought was just so sick in the beta, but i actually haven't seen him play impressively since GSL S1 Ro32.
My thoughts on that is that based on Check's solid understanding, knowing he would be in a less advantageous position on DQ, would see either an insightful play or (more likely) super aggressive play that is usually rewarded assuming he has great mechanics. Plus I don't see Check going down 0-2, and then my logic above supports that.
Maps are pretty much a total tossup. Blistering Sands is great for the Grack if it's a short game, and it's great for MVP if it's a long game. Steppes of War is hugely in MVP's favour, and I wouldn't be surprised to see IdrA 6 pool or 7RR if he wins game 1. Metalopolis all depends on the spawns. Cross positions is good for IdrA, close is great for MVP.
IMO MVP is too solid of a player to lose to the Gracken.
I am so torn between Jinro and Moon. As much as I like Jinro and always wish a foreigner to go through, it's the Moon!! The Moon! The fifth race! Whoever wins, I'll be happy and sad at the same time
As for the other games, rooting for Idra, Check and Boxer ^^
I find it quite funny that Idra is even less favored than Jinro in his match :D This, to me, indicates, that there's only about 3-4 people who think of Idra highly, it's obviously himself, Artosis and Tasteless. For all his trashtalking about Zenio's, NesTea's and Fruitdealer's of this world, it turns out, nobody rates him at all, looking at pathetic 30% chance they gave him.
As for Jinro's match, I believe he will take it. Moon has the name, but I didn't see any incredible skill from that guy. Go Jinro!
MVP was the first terran to show and use the foxer's build (before foxer) in GSL2 when he got knocked out. We didn't see a lot of it, but based of his GSL2 impressive play, if he became better he must be a beast. But idra on the other hand has a very good defense, so this will be interresting.
I hope Jinro will do it, but both Jinro and Moon didn't impressed in ro64. (but they played well, just not 'wow')
Boxer is the king, the Emperor of TvT. He won over Nada, I don't see how Polt could win.
I don't remember Choya's play, and check varies from beastly to average, very indecisive match imo.
