I'll emphasize my last point again: There is no perfect format that people wont complain about. The only reason people are making a big deal out of it this time is because it's Tyler (who everybody looooves) vs Painuser (who most people are indifferent to) and the past drama w/ them in this tournament. The two involved both lost one series. It's that simple.

Actually, people pointed out it was bad last tournament too when it was in Tyler's favour

Well there's nothing irrational about it, it's just uninformed. He doesn't realize that Colossi are both air and ground units. No.He realises that they are considered air units only "cos of height". So its not like he thinks they are giant self-propelled balls. So it doesn't make sense to know they are taken out by ground -to-ground units but not taken out by Air-to-ground units. Seems irrational to me...

Nope. Banshees do 24 dmg, Vikings do 28. And ofc Vikings have longer range, costs less gas and double build from the SP The banshee has higher DPS vs Colossus than Vikings do (19.2 vs 14) True, in DPS terms banshees do more damage.

Yeah, my post was not irrational garbage. I have played enough to realize they are both ground and air units, so I am not stupid in any sense. But that is what confuses me time and again. I feel sorry for them that they can be hit by everything and anything. If you are a zealot, you are pretty confident that Vikings cannot touch you from the air, but as a colossus you pretty much have to be worried about everything and as a Protoss user, you have that much to be worried about when investing in Colossi is all I am saying.

You probably need to update Flash player. Chrome's Flash player is built in and auto-updates, Firefox's is not.

No, it's not, since it was PainUser that beat Tyler the first time, so the match continues as a bo5. Welcome to double elimination. If you don't like it, too bad. In the alternative single elimination, Tyler is already out and not given a chance to fight back at all.

No reason for it, both players earned their place. I agree. Offer double elimination, but still punish the player if they manage to get back. It should be punishment. It's the result of already having lost to that player. Without that punishment, there would be no benefit to having not lost, or to having already beaten a player.
Even if you didn't have the extended series rule there's already disadvantages to losing. You have to play quite a few more matches (2 matches in the losers for every 1 in the winner's). If you want to win the grand finals you have to win 2 bo3 whereas the winner's bracket person only has to win 1.
If you think those aren't enough of a disadvantage then make that your position. Don't pretend there isn't any benefit at all to winning.

I honestly feel like 1-2 high templars would be a lot better here due to feedback on medivacs.

People have complained about it forever, also proving my point that people will always complain. I challenge you to come up with a tournament structure that everybody will agree with. It's impossible. These are MLG's brackets that they run, you don't like it? Too bad, watch a different tournament that has the structure you want. Nobody is forcing people to compete in MLG, they know what they're getting into.
To the other person, they did already lose a set each... except Tyler lost a set to pain.user. You might think it shouldn't matter, but plenty of people do.
