Dear god... this was best ZvT I've seen post patch
Zerg basically only used 2 units but it looked so innovative
I'd kill for replays right now... I so wanna see games from their povs only

I agree, some people said Kyrix was pretty dumb for not teching up, but keeping it muta, bling roach is really all he could maintain with both having constant aggression. I think he maybe should have tried to take another expo when he was up, but Foxer was still putting on pressure even behind 30 or so food. Also, wiping the the babywerra match up, Kyrix was pretty much the only one who came close to knocking Foxer out by not going a macro intensive style.

Do you think he should have expanded though? He had a good lead but got caught with his pants down when the gold minerals ran out. He was forcing himself to be all-in by not getting another hatchery up.
I'd rather be zerg rushing

Boxer vs Kyrix was the best series of TvZ I've seen so far in Sc2.

So why was the Zerg late? Anyone have any news?

Seriously never seen that good marine control out of anyone before, that was something else, it wasnt the fact that he did it, just that he kept being able to do it all the awy through the series, with very few errors

Just looking at these games, you can find windows where an infestor can get fitted in. It's not even like a defiler where you can still micro around it. Zerg gets 1 fungal off and you no longer get to control your units. Maybe a terran can find a way to use this heavy pressure early-midgame and quickly mech transition like that recent brood war trend.

Yeah...if you are watching from an observer view where you get to see everything. In-game I think it would be far more difficult (near impossible), to find the tiny windows necessary.

Yup so far MVP/Nada/Fake boxer have amazing marine micro.

For anyone saying infestor with fungel growth watch the game of Nada vs that zerg on xelnaga. As the infestor was going to do fungel growth nada spread the marines so well that it only get like 4 marines lol.
When I think of something else, something will go here

Probably someone noticed, foxer was researching combat shields on first game, but he lost the tech lab at 10:10 on the second baneling attack while combatshield was at like 90%.

Foxer is such a baller.

People say that banelings can't be beaten by pure marines, so he goes out in the quarter finals of an $85k tournament and proves people wrong, because he can.

Uhh he lost the two games where Kyrix went pure baneling vs pure marine? He won the first game when Kyrix dared to tech switch to roaches and mutalisks. Helped in part by Kyrix suiciding his mutas into the marines. He would have won anyway though because Kyrix wasn't great. Basically, games one through three were incredibly poor play from both parties (And don't give me a sob story about amazing micro, MVP vs Zenio game 1 was way better) and Foxer lost a best of three on short rush distance maps trying that tactic. It was just daft. MM isn't nearly as impressive in SC2 as it was in BW because the marine is way more powerful and the micro is far less impressive.

Game 5 though was awesome. I really, really wish Foxer had just put up a straight up normal fight against Kyrix because he is obviously by far the better player anyway and could probably have taken it in 3. the games would have been way more interesting too.
