It was probably the closest game I have seen to brood war. I really wish this mass marine medivac tank style could become standard but sadly it cannot. Anti-micro infestor gives a big fuck you to this style. If you ever get the chance to tech to infestor that is

So give credit where credit's due -- the top T's are simply better than the top Z's and P's right now. I don't know how you can watch Foxer, Boxer, Nada, or HopeTorture at all and argue against that. Claiming imba is absurd, and no one BUT them can do things they do. If anything, they're overcoming the imbalance the rest of us are having quite a hard time dealing with.

I'm a lawyer irl and, yes, re-streaming anyone's copyrighted content without their permission is in violation of copyright law and the DMCA (it's a slam dunk case, actually). I'm not here to preach about what you should/should not do, but if you care at all about esports and SC2 you should probably not pirate GOM's content. Without paying subscribers, esports simply wouldn't be sustainable (hence why it's slightly different from you pirating movies that make tens of millions of dollars or pirating lady gaga's cd's). Just some food for thought.

I think he maybe should have tried to take another expo when he was up, but Foxer was still putting on pressure even behind 30 or so food. Also, wiping the the babywerra match up, Kyrix was pretty much the only one who came close to knocking Foxer out by not going a macro intensive style.

Just some food for thought. I personally watched a re-stream last night since I was at my parents house with my parents mac, sadly Gom doesn't have a player that works on Mac. I have paid for both seasons so far, so I have no problem with watching a re-stream, the stream is free anyways along with having no advertisements, so Im having trouble seeing why gom needs these such high ratings. They've got the numbers from me for the first season and this one(vods I've watched as well as staying up until 2 am during GSL season 1 to watch, I don't stay up until 3 to watch, a little too late for me), they should let people watch the third season now, especially mac users.. If they can't get people to sponsor and advertise the foreign stream for upcoming seasons with the current ratings they have, they need to let it go, legal issues aside

They already established that viewership and loyalty i guess

It's not even like a defiler where you can still micro around it. Zerg gets 1 fungal off and you no longer get to control your units. Maybe a terran can find a way to use this heavy pressure early-midgame and quickly mech transition like that recent brood war trend.

The Thor rush in the second series really bugged me, as I have yet to see anyone defeat it. The bug where you can't kill the repairing SCVs is terrible. I can not believe that hasn't been fixed.

They already established that viewership and loyalty i guess If Im watching there games on their stream when they have advertisements, I'm a client, If Im watching there streams on a restream cause they dont support mac, but I already paid them 35$ (so therefore despite me watching where I don't show up, I still show up on their #s they show to advertisers), I am still a client, I am still a # they can show to potential sponsors. the fact that what I'm doing is not supposed to be allowed is outrageous too me. I mean I watch about 50% of the games live, 95% of those I've watched on Gom player, I've watched re-streams on 2 occasions now where I didn't have my PC. Also, i think your wrong, MLG advertises, cause they have local companies interested in their huge viewership in North America, they might be an established company in NA, but GOM was way way way more established as far as SC is concerned, MLG hit the jack pot on their gamble with SC2, and we should expect some major improvements from them next year. GOM will advertise as soon as they find some company that is interested in a worldwide market. You need to have your product appeal to a ton of people, not a single area, I'm sure they have someone interested in advertising for next year, but its probably going to be something like the coca cola starleague, a 1 season thing. I doubt we will see a consistent sponsor of GOM. I'm also curious if they will discontinue charging since the reason they are changing now is cause they aren't throwing ads at us, or at least that's what I took from their statement about the price per season. If all they care about is if people are watching, and trying to build a following or clientele, then they would have made EVERYTHING free. Vods, HQ, etc, then they would advertise this as the qualifications for their real tournaments next year, and kind of like a sampler platter, instead of doing it the way they are doing it, where this is the REAL thing. This way anybody can watch and see if this tournament gameplay is for them. Right now tons of casual gamers that would normally watch MLG, aren't watching gom, cause it's at a pretty awkward time of night to watch it for free, and 20$ is expensive if your not sure you want to watch it. My friend who is in to watching BW with me, did not want to watch GOM since he didn't want to pay 20$... However, he watches MLG and BW still.. I doubt he is a 1 of a kind. Instead, they are trying to sell their product to us without even getting off the ground, while I am happy with the product, and happy with my purchase, the way they handle people with MACs, people re-streaming, etc is ... disappointing to say the least
