I know you get it from making round of 8, and I thought it had something to do w/ qualifying and seeding for future events but wasn't sure specifically how it worked.

Infestors could fungal allowing the banes to get in easier, although with good marine spread its really hard and not cost-effective. I noticed this too but remember that they were both on the ropes the whole time. One or two fewer tanks for Kyrix or 3 fewer mutas was game over and that's what the infestor or Raven cost (with the building cost and time). Kyrix may have been able to get out an infestor ... but really I think he could have won straight up if the banelings hit the orbital at the gold as the mining started there. Between the build time and the cost of an orbital Kyrix could have killed Foxer right there. Closest games we have seen in the GSL yet. It's really unfortunate the two underdogs had to meet because they actually both seem like top 4 material now that we see them play a bit more. Again though, top 8 means S class so we will see plenty more of both of them. Edit: Kyrix gets glorified because for one has a very fun to watch style, super fast paced and crazy micro. For two he has really good timing and game sense, if you ever play Zerg you will realize those busts are very hit or miss and his always seem to hit because he does them at just the right time. He is also not just doing all in busts like Dimaga did for a bit, they are just the only real way Zerg has of breaking a wall in before ultras. Edit 2: As I understand it S class will be the top set of players for seeding in future tournaments. This means those players will have a very good head start for the next few tournaments (or a year, no clue how promotion/demotion from S class works) and we will see a lot more of their play. It avoids them getting knocked out in qualifiers like July or Tester.

There are more kinds of tournaments as well. Not every GSL will have this simple Ro64 format (which, to be honest, I'm getting tired of). I guess we'll simply have to wait for details.
