except for poor bischu who went 2-1 into a threeway tie which ended draw (all 3 guys going 1-1 in the tiebreaker), and then got eliminated by coinflip.

which is like the biggest bullshit ever...

You do know even the biggest sport in the world, soccer, has scenarios where a match can be decided by a coin flip even in big tournaments?

Erm no...

didnt find it in english wiki but here are about 300 cases
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Losentscheide_im_Fußball

almost all of these cases are from before 1971 when penalty shootouts were introduced. since then, no major domestic league nor any major tournament (uefa champions league, euro cup, world cup, concacaf tourneys etc. ) has seen any significant decision done by coinflip.

The problem is that SC2 has nothing like penalty shooting except maybe worker rush eah other :D

world cup etc, have it in their rules that the winner gets chosen by coinflip when its a draw in the group stages. It just rarely happens since football has more criteria than just who wins.

It's not like soccer was new in 1971 or anything so the point stills stands. I don't think anyone thinks a coin flip is a good way to decide a game, but it's not like it's unprecedented even in main stream sports.

Why do you doubt it? I'm cheering for Dario nonetheless. I don't think he can win the whole thing, but pretty sure he can make it out of his group. I think best German there is Socke or DarkForcE.

For individual games, sure. But it's still in the rules for group stages:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_FIFA_World_Cup#Group_stage

Tie-breaking criteria
1. Greater number of points in all group matches
2. Goal difference in all group matches
3. Greater number of goals scored in all group matches
4. Greatest number of points in matches between teams
5. Goal difference in matches between teams
6. Greatest number of goals scored in matches between teams
7. Drawing of lots by the FIFA Organising Committee

and apparently it happened in 1990!
