I think it's clear Zerg still struggles the most, but I think the number being really, really low is a product of a lot of the bigger names not playing yet. is this sarcasm? Cause i cant help but notice a #1099 kr ladder terran guy. Probably had an easy bracket. What kind of scares me is that the top zergs still haven't played and the longer that goes the more likely it is that they'll kick each other out in a fail-bracket!

The last two days will be stacked with all the good players from GSL1 and the ex BW pro's?

It's really not looking great for Zerg, sure we didn't had a lot good Zerg play yet, but on the other hand I can see lots of no name Terrans who managed to qualify.

I agree, to a point. Losira failed to qualify, but he did lose to good player TankboyPrime. But it still does look like we are going to see less Zergs than in GSL1. Althought the average quality of the zergs will probably be higher.

Plus, there are still many groups to come. Can still be some good people playing today.

MVP qualified. I rank him as No.1 contender for GSL2.

When the lead producer of SC2 says Zerg are too difficult and too boring to play no fucking wonder SC2 is practically a 2 race game at the competitive level.

MVP qualifies! If his track record in BW is anything, this guy is gonna be BEASTING.

The last 2 days of qualifiers will be STACKED with the succesful players from season 1.
Putting on my tin foil hat, the players/brackets seem non-random. eg I think this is rigged. I think that gomTV is looking to find new players to test this season, hence the experienced players from season 1 have mostly been placed in the last two days. If the season1 r64 players were evenly spread out among the 4 days, there wouldn't be as many new faces.

GOM has every incentive to rig the competition in the other direction; that is, to try to put successful players from last season against the least power competition possible.

@Thesighter, maybe a crap load of the ones from season 1 just didn't try out? maybe they have other things going on.. who knows! we'll find out!

No it actually makes a lot of sense. The primary purpose of these qualifiers is to find 96 players for their 2011 season.
