Artosis and tasteless were ok too, games didn't help much to deliver a breathtaking commentary. Tastless was obviously rusty, don't fault him though, and him and Artosis make a good team. Also like you point out, how are you supposed to commentate games like these were 1 player is just dominating the other?

Basically I had to switch between like 5 restreams I'm so angry. you did something wrong then. the stream crashed twice for a short time. other then that you could watch it absolutely fine with the gomplayer. also this was the first "test". and for that it workes pretty damn good.

How do you do something wrong when the process is so simple. Click Orange button Wait for video to play Video plays Video stops after 5 minutes and can't connect to the stream Must watch a restream of the lq stream Those are the basic steps I took when it came to todays cast. I'm sorry, but you can't just fucking do something wrong when there's two steps into watching a live stream in this fashion.

HQ that doesent work, has terrible quality, that is more than 5 min behind and when u fast forward it it crashes. sq from which my eyes hurt. less important is how this 2 matches were 1sided from start to an end. only good thing today was tasteless... what a shame. So high prize money but IEM was 100 times more enyoable to watch from tehnical aspects, i really miss those adds after todays streams... Ok you know what guy? GomTV did an amazing job considering what I've heard of their staffing issues, the recent drama involving KeSPA and Blizzard, etc. This is an event that's literally just starting. Give them time to actually work out he problems involved with running such a huge event, stop whining that the quality didn't match a MUCH smaller event that was heavily sponsored (read: more effective budget and staff), and enjoy the games.

Naw, I had serious issues with the stream as well. The player crashed many times for me, and the gom player skipped huge portions of the idra v zenith games. Luckily i was watching the LQ during the second match, and the HQ stream actually worked for the parts the LQ skipped. Just one good thing about the delay. I didn't really notice much of a difference in video quality between the HQ and LQ, but did have lag issues with the HQ, even though i have 10x the bandwidth for it. Hopefully it'll work better next time.

And people should realise by now theres not an easy unit composition in the game that beats a Terran MM ball for cost (let alone MMM). Pure immortal won't beat pure marauder after a small ball is up, pure chargelots won't beat pure marines. You need to exploit the ball by using units that deal heavy splash damage and through other means like forcefield/fungal growth. Anyway, disappointing day one for the GSL. You see far more high-level gameplay in the typical US/EU 'pro' matchup. Which speaks volumes for how hard it must be for GOM to get talent interested in SC2 that isn't already tied to Kespa.

The "button" hands out different Servers depending on serverload, round-robin or whatever. Not every one of the servers seemed to be equally capable of handling the load, or the load balancing didn't work that good. So just because some got lucky and had the better ones and the others recieved worse, doesn't mean anyone has done something right or wrong.

On another note, I am 100% certain that GOM will work something out for us foreigners in the future.

My faith in future esport died a bit, and it sucks that they want to kill brood war so I have nothing to fall back on. But hey, some people actually think counter strike is big, so in their perspective esport is doing great.
