My faith in future esport died a bit, and it sucks that they want to kill brood war so I have nothing to fall back on. But hey, some people actually think counter strike is big, so in their perspective esport is doing great. Yep. People who have watched GOM Classic series for BW had unreliable streams as well. This is not news which is why people were complaining about the $50 for an unreliable stream in the first place. GOM tv never had a good track record.

First off, why did you purchase the stream at the first place? Should ring a bell atleast a little when you knew it's their FIRST time casting a event like this. It is international so there will be alot viewers. Like they can test their service beforehand when they cannot know how many people will tune in? Every tournament has problems at start. That is a fact. The only thing here is, they either can fix the problems or keep failing like they did back in BW. Should've learned their lesson by now.

What sucks it that I'm in school during most of the live casting, so I'm really tempted to buy the premium for the vods.

HQ that doesent work, has terrible quality, that is more than 5 min behind and when u fast forward it it crashes. sq from which my eyes hurt. less important is how this 2 matches were 1sided from start to an end. only good thing today was tasteless... what a shame. So high prize money but IEM was 100 times more enyoable to watch from tehnical aspects, i really miss those adds after todays streams... Ok you know what guy? GomTV did an amazing job considering what I've heard of their staffing issues, the recent drama involving KeSPA and Blizzard, etc. This is an event that's literally just starting. Give them time to actually work out he problems involved with running such a huge event, stop whining that the quality didn't match a MUCH smaller event that was heavily sponsored (read: more effective budget and staff), and enjoy the games. WOW... So we payed for a service that MANY of use did not recieve and we should give them a break because... they didn't hire enough ppl to give us that service? WTF? I can't tell if your being extremely sarcastic or not... well whatever the case is I did not mess anything up. The website told me I had a 2000k connection or some shit... hell it was even "LIVE" it was like 10 min behind everyones stream .... I really don't think $20 is that much money for what I am paying for BUT i'd actually like to watch what im paying for. That is what really piss's me off. If your going to charge for something and advertise a product fucking deliver it. LETS HOPE its better in 48 hours.

GomTV hasn't ever been good with streaming which little amazes me because they had years to practice. I understand people who think they will sort this out, but I wouldn't suggest to get your hopes up too high. I think it actually might go down frome here. But lets hope for the best.

English commentary was rather bland though. Dunno if it was Tasteless just being rusty but Artosis' presence wasn't helping at all. No hard feelings to Artosis but I just wish it was Tasteless with Day9 casting those games. Still Day9 is the better caster in my eyes - the best thing next to the Koreans - really knows how to make the show exciting and has some keen insight.

What sucks it that I'm in school during most of the live casting, so I'm really tempted to buy the premium for the vods. They underestimated the amount of people that would watch and that in itself can be seen as a success. With that said what was awesome was the production value. The studio and appearance of the tournament was really high quality. The people that were at the event prolly had a great experience. You could really tell they had spent allot of resources on that. The neutral/okay would be Tasteless and Artosis. Could simply depend on that the games were of low quality since it was top 64, and in this case it was 2 very good players against 2 very crappy players. The bad was the high quality stream. I feel specially bad for the people that payed for one day live event, they basically wasted their money (yes yes it wasn't much but it was still wasted money). With that said Im confident they will fix it. So no real worries.

Earlier GOMTVs were just as international, but foreigners sucked and only IdrA was invited. At least the games had some quality to them in BW.

Great production value, shitty server-side stuff. Thankfully the seemed to have fixed almost everything for the second series (Maka's), which is good prospects for the following casts. I look forward to Monday! As Integra said, it's kind of a blessing in disguise that they had server load troubles, as that means a ton of people want to watch.
