Dude, I completely agree with you. I thought I was the only one with these thoughts. I hate how people nowadays criticize commentary so much for naught, when Tasteless' style of commentary is no where to be seen anywhere in the foreign scene. I am bored to death sometimes because there's never any good quality enthusiasm from the casters. By quality I mean like YELLING, friggin YELLING, not raising your voice but YELLING. That is why I prefer to watch BW matches rather than SC2 because the commentary is always exciting.
On another note I missed the games today =_=. Will the VODs be worth the purchase?

Spot on man! I really could not care less about analysis, I just want commentators to have fun and laugh at things, anticipate things up, and create a fun and good atmosphere to the public. Just be your self Tasteless, do what you love. Analysing is boring and wont create tension imo.

Well maybe not the VOD's to THESE PARTICULAR games they played today, but I am very much looking forward to the game as we weed out the lesser players.

I agree. Tasteless was great imo but he has been a lot better. He needs to loosen up and just go with the flow. But he hasn't really commentate that much recently so I'm hoping he will loosen up as the tournament goes further

Todays games were really bad. Two good players beating two very weak players who made a lot of questionable decision making. Nothing really interesting unless you like seeing the losing player basically hand the game over to their opponents.

Lets not get ridiculous.
His performance today was kinda bad, if not just nothing great. But one poor performance does not throw him down into 5-6th place. I no longer think he is the best sc/sc2 caster, but hes deff still in the top 3.
He hasn't casted a game in what a year? year and some change? I expect his performance to rapidly improve as he gets back into the swing of things, especially since hes casting 5 days a week now.

I'm sure he reads TL a lot, but guys, he did say leave feedback on the GOM forums, so head over and leave your feedback there

People complaining about Tasteless/Artosis need to examine what they got to cast today. 2 one-sided matches involving only really 1, maybe 2 players they can actually talk about. They can't talk too much about the game if nothing is going on, and the filler that would normally go there about the players or strategies simply don't exist. Casting a game between say White-Ra and Idra is much easier, even if it is boring or 1 sided.

guys, you know where i can find vods, besides gomtv, anyone that streamed who has a upload?
|
Also,
Was I the only one who thought tasteless was kind of verbally walking all over Artosis? It was kinda funny at first, but then it kind of got awkward as the games went on. Poor Artosis.

You have to feel sorry for all the people who paid for HD - hopefully GOM will be able to get things together by Day 2, perhaps with some help from Blizzard.

ESL did a great job on IEM and all their other events. GomTV is ten times as expensive and still fails to deliver any decent stream or mediaplayer... that's just sad.

Day9 is probably the only person I would say with confidence is a better caster than tasteless at the moment. Others may still prove to be, but not yet imo.

I'm sad that I can't seem to find a link for vods yet

The WC3 event was international and huge.
Seems like I didn't miss much with the games though.

day9 chocked hard under mgl and iem, so he aint that good at events.
