the guy from gomtv said he'd report that...obviously without many success; actually I feel pretty bad for tasteless and artosis; they try to give a good coverage and get owned by gomtv

They offer the service that for most of Europe wouldnt work, or work LQ at best. So Gom provided a semi-working english stream for $ (with low chance of refund in case of dificulties) or a Gom provided free korean language stream.... So isn't a restream of free korean language source stream (with all their ads and so on) legall or not?

I checked the upcoming calendar for OGN and I don't see any signs of the GSL on there. So it seems the only way to watch legally is through the Korean GOM player and any subsequent restreams of it. I might be eating my own words though as Korea is prevalent for updating information in the last minute.

So you'll turn to TL and look what streams are posted here. And so will Gretech. TL is not the only sc2 site. It is the most popular and the biggest one so they'll prevent the majority watching ogn streams but that won't mean they'll be able to prevent the streams since TL is not the only sc2 site. This is an inevitable problem for gomtv and in the end the only possible solution would be making sure all korean internet cannot be restreamed/accessed to outside of korea which is undoable or costly.

Well I hope I'm not gonna eat my words either, I just repeated what I had been reading on TL somewhere lol 8[

What I really wanna know is thought is if "season" is a year or a month. If its a year then the prices seem right. Around $2.5/month which is basically nothing. For a month its too steep. My limit is about $10 a month. Live and Vods should also be combined for a relatively cheaper price. Low quality live stream should also be provided. Maybe delayed or low quality vods as well. This is for people to get hooked on GSL. But the difference in quality should be quite big between free and paid thought. Overall, I understand that free streams is hard to make profitable when your gioving out $170,000 in prices alone. When the stream is global its hard to find advertisers since it throws any local brand or company instantly out of the window. No one like to pay for advertising for customers that cant buy their product. In summary, TL dont expect this scope of a tournament to be free. Dont be greedy. You dont expect to go into movietheaters for free or U2 concert to be free either. And GOMTV dial back on the prices and terms. Free low quality streams and vods to get people hooked and get the communitys support and moderate prices are probably the best for your profits. Id imagine youd sell 5x more tickets if its $10 instead of $29 per season.

We all know that it will be restreamed, but the really interesting question is how TL will react? Will the ban-hammer be flying wild to stamp down any links to restreams in order to to protect GOMTVs stupid move (which Naz clearly disagrees with) or will they opt for a more laissez faire attitude. I for one am going to watch the restreams and the youtube VODs. Shame on you GOMTV for ruining such a great experience.
